Im glad you still gave it an 8, since a lot of the cons you gave are just part of all small form factor cases (smaller motherboard, PSU, thinner fans) cases, but Im also glad you included them as I find your reviews are very beginner friendly, and a lot of new people to building computers wouldn't understand that smaller cases need very particular parts.

This thing is huge for an ITX case. I don’t really get why they didn’t just make it a little bigger and allow it to run a m-atx board.

You missed two important advantages of this case over most other (all other?) SFF cases: Huge air coolers can be installed for true silence (no high pitched whiney pump noise of the AIO, no water noise). And: the GPU is directly connected to the motherboard and does not need an adapter cable which can cause all kinds of trouble.

Engaging, entertaining, and educational; it can only be Leo; more of these interesting and unusual cases, please! I'll be very interested to see an extended test of this case: unlike the Silverstone FT series cases I have previously used, the GPU faceplate is downwards, so I wonder how that will affect long-term GPU cooling? I didn't see any cables coming out of the bottom when the completed system was on your bench. How does the case fare when you load the rear / bottom panel? Say 3 or 4 video cables, speaker cables, and a number of USB cables. How much room is there for video cables with larger plugs (optical cables have transceivers)? BTW if you want to mount more than one 2.5" drive, try using sticky pads to stack them! PS As it's a vertical case, how about a fully passive build? :)

It seems an air cooler might be best for this case as most tubes are long for an aio and you wouldn't want to risk any of possible damage. Also for the RGB model I know it comes with a fan controller, does it allow for more fans to be plugged in or would you need one of those nodes?

Mine is arriving next week. I wish they had a teeny bit more space to accomodate a 3,5 to 4 slot GPU. I wonder why most sff cases restrict the GPU length to either 320mm or just 2 to 3 slots if they support longer GPUs. Why can't we have both?

Small Form mean to be SMALL so they are not designed for housing thick gpus at all. It all ruiend by the xxx GPU manufacturs, or buyers who always believe bigger is better and thinking to put a 300w+ monster into a small case regardless unpleasent noise, extra cash for fans, itx board, sfx psu etc. Anyway, if they do it larger then why not matx? There are some better design on Dan C4 that leaving thick GPU on top, Or Fractual Design ridge leaving a whole chamber for GPUs, but still, thinking original Dan a4 is such a small and delicate case and it is getting 4 litter bigger and similar to the size of NR200...

I really like the styling of the case, but at ~24 liters, it's not exactly what I'd call small form factor ITX case. If it weren't a vertical case, I imagine the extra spacing at the bottom for cables could have been removed to reduce the overall volume and thus make it smaller. Excellent review!

As for the the temp increase with the additional fans I would assume with all 6 fans being intake & being at a 90 degree angle from each other I believe it's creating a vortex inside the case trapping the heat. I believe if you can manage to install an additional fan at the top for exhausting the heat temps would drop drastically.

But they seem to have designed with H55, H60, H75, H80i, H90, H100i, H105, H110i, H115i, H150i in mind. so thick rad like the Arctic 240mm may not fit.

It is an interesting layout, I was actually thinking about modifying a mini itx to fit/attach a 360 AIO. For thos size, however, I think non sfx psu should be an option and maybe also the possibility to place the case in horizontal position. As it is it seems a bit too cumbersome.
@jnx4803
@jnx4803 Жыл бұрын
It's mildly annoying, that just a few design changes could make this case an ultimate PC tower case. Reverse internal design to plug everything from top, make 360 AIO mount on the opposite side of GPU instead on top of it, add 2-3 cm to support 4 slot GPUs, add 2 cm to fit standard 120 fans instead of slims, change PSU position to improve overall airflow, redesign mesh to not choke some components as some tests shown to happen, and maybe few minor changes to cable management. Sometimes I think that they are intentionally designing gimped designs to just keep having an excuse to make a new case instead of making one excellent product... or they just suck at design.

I find it a little disheartening that when using an AIO with a cooler that has a display screen like the H100i Elite, it gets blocked by the positioning of the Radiator and fans thus rendering it's functionality moot. That is so interesting, the 2000D from Origin has the mobo flipped being above the psu and is on the opposite side (right instead of left). That means the cables going into the mobo come out the top making it much easier to plug things in, plus you get an extra 120mm fan on top. I wonder why they flipped things around for the normal Corsair version, the pump on the Origin version is still below the top point of the rad as well. Being honest, I like the Origin version more since it isn't asymmetrical like you can see at 18:43 and the cables are much easier to get to once the pc is all put together since you just have to remove the top bit and have full access. I would guess it would also have slightly better thermals since it has that top exhaust fan.

It makes sense because what happens when you add the additional fans is they introduce enough cool airflow to where it brings temps down. Any other fans inside the system are able to run at much lower RPM while running cooler, especially since the only fans that were in the case were dealing with the resistance of having to go through the radiator fins.

I just did a build in this case, there are no airflow issues at all but you have to know how to build a mini itx to begin with. If this is your first one, you need to study first else the wiring will screw your airflow up but that is not the fault of this case. As it stands without being able to show you my benchmarks casuse YT comments suck, under ultra settings gaming load on Red Dead 2, my CPU never touches 50C (Ryzen 7 7800x3d). GPU is an RTX 4080 and again no heat issues at all. If I could change one thing about this case it is the receiver deck. You have to route the wires in to the case through an open hole at the bottom of the case. That is just a lazy design.

"The bigger the number. The bigger the case" NONONO Corsair has a 1000D look at the size of that thing you could probably fit 3 of the 2000D cases in it and it is larger than the 7000D and you can put TWO ROWS of quad 140mm fans in the front AND the top and a second mini ITX PC in the back

You are quite correct about the 1000D however most of us regard that model as a mis-step that we prefer to ignore Leo

Does anyone know if this will fit a m-DTX board in? It's a shame they didn't route the power cable on the inside tbh, but I like the case. Im considering this as my H210i is now restricting me on GPU choice given that the front of that case houses the AOI. I'm limited to just over 280mm

I have a 4000D Airflow in white and overall its been a really nice case. However due to my huge motherboard heatsink I cannot put anything larger than a 240 AIO at the top. So radiator support is iffy. Also vertical GPU support is non existent, as its way too close to the glass... Wish they gave it 1 more inch of width. I'd like an ITX system but I also want more than 2 M.2 drive slots and that simply wont happen. I have 4 slots in my current B550 Unify board. This 2000D is a fiddly case.

I have the same case, there is no support for 360 top mount on 4000D Airflow, I use 360 but in front.

Just got this case a few days ago. So far so good. Temps are good. However, corsair should have added support of either 80 or 92 mill fan on the top, two of them would fit. I mean why make the top mesh if it's closed. The very least the top should have had perforated holes. Come on Corsair. Hot air rises, I will cut the top to mount two 92 mill as exhaust.

25L with only SFX psu and no 3.5" HDD support? Please. Might as well buy a revolt 3 or meshlicious at that point and have a real SFF system
