honestly for me its interesting, when u move the mouse very slowly to see the pixel by pixel distance, it's shorter than 1000hz polling rate, wich provide you better aim, and in fact when i play games, it's realy great, and the low response time with nvidia reflexe makes it even easier and better. with high refresh rates. of course if your not an try hard gamer, if you play just for chill, if you don't play fps games, u may not need it. u may not notice really the difference. but for pro gamers and else, i totally recommand it, also because the sabre pro is the cheapest 8k mouse on the market. u have rgb but also no rgb version for people like me who don't like it.

@@iitskloud2113 honestly, it took a while to get used to how light it is. I realized that I actually really liked the weight of my Logitech G502, and I didn't even use the included weights. So this Sabre mouse is VERY light to me and I find that it's easier to make accidental movements with it just by clicking rapidly or if I'm trying to make tiny movements and click very rapidly, it will almost shake the mouse and distort the tracking a little making it harder to be accurate with my movements. So it's still an adjustment phase but I think I wouldn't buy it again. Partly as well because I cannot seem to use the 8000hz polling without serious lag issues while playing League of Legends which I don't understand. I have a 2700X processor and 2070S which it above the recommended spec and league of legends isn't a demanding title by any stretch. So I'm not sure what is causing the lag, maybe because i have a 2k, 144hz monitor? Anyways, I would have just bought another G502 with a direct replacement warranty if I were to redo the choice over again. Hope it helps!

@@DABlinxz Games can also be a bottlneneck. If you don't use Raw input in the settings this can cause lag especially at such high poling rates don't know if league has this option though.

Just an FYI if you are looking to buy this for the 8k polling rate I would maybe hold off for awhile until game engines catch up. Like Apex Legends basically exploded when I tried playing with 4k or even 2k. Half way through my session the mouse just started stuttering like crazy. If you are going to jump in with the higher polling rate I would at least research your main titles first to see if it can't handle it.

@@reng.5934 I'm pretty sure it's tied into your CPU. My old AMD Ryzen 5 just couldn't keep up. I'm actually using the Sabre Wireless now and it's capped at 2k hz and I haven't had any issues. GL!

@@kompletist Most people having problems is because they're using regular USB ports. You need a motherboard with a special gaming USB port, which is basically hard lined into the PCIe bus, rather than operating on standard connections. This allows the bandwidth/latency required to operate high polling. For example, Asrock motherboards can come with their 'fatal1ty' usb ports, geared specifically toward running high performance mice.

EVERY SINGLE RAZER MOUSE (including my recently purchased & just failed Razer Viper 8k) i have owned, the scroll wheel has failed within 5-12 months. Usually it's just an issue where approximately every 5-10 scrolls, a single scroll increment in one direction will be read as a scroll in the opposite, or both directions (one direction immediately after the other). If you can't tell, I'm completely fed up with Razer, wouldn't buy anything from them again. Havent had an issue with their keyboards, but I prefer a matching mouse / keyboard.

Late response, I know :/ Well.. YES. Submit an RMA ticket on their support. It's a problem that really many of these mice have, and Corsair don't really do anything about it. I have the same mouse, and after about a year of usage ( maybe even less) I started to notice that the scroll up wasn't always working, and just 2 weeks ago, the wheel really started to disfunction. It wont even work properly now. I will mostly not work, or scroll to the right direction, or the opposite. I contacted the Corsair support, for an RMA, but they asked me to send it to them, with MY expenses, and they would send me a replacement. Because I won the mouce on a giveaway, they wouldn't even replace it with a new one, but with a refurbished, and they would only give me a 30 day warranty. In my case, shipping the mouse to them would cost 25€ at least, and having in mind that the same problem could probably show up after a small period of time, I prefered to keep it. I loved this mouse too, but having a problematic wheel, really changes your experience to the worse.:/

Hey guys, struggling to find anything relevant on the great interwebs. So I'm asking here. So i bought the non RGB version the other day, and it's registering clicks whenever I move it and put it down to hard( it's not hard by any means, just too hard). Being this is my first real gaming mouse, is this a common problem, or is it an production error for this particular mouse?

I got medium+ size hands, and it fits my fingertip grip In intense situations, and is super comfortable on my claw grip the rest of the time. But the real kicker is, the possibility to micro adjust the mouse dpi on the go. I actually use that option all the time in competitive games.

I would agree just because I can't get the lighting to save to the HW profile on the RGB one. Unless the iCUE bloatware is open the mouse just goes off on it's own in regards to RGB. Would prefer just the non-RGB one at this point. Set the polling rate in iCUE and uninstall that shit.

You really don't need 8Khz, most people just misunderstand mice. All mice should be put at their maximum sensitivity, then adjusted in windows control panel for sensitivity. DPI is meant to be a physical sensitivity setting, while the software side regulates it. So 8000 dpi, with a lowered software sensitivity, still equals smoothness, because the DPI is the sensitivity of how the sensor physically tracks, which is what creates smoothness despite having a lower software sensitivity setting. Low DPI is less smooth, because its tracking resolution is reduced, allowing for more error, especially the larger the movements. So the first thing any mouse owner should do is crank DPI to maximum, and adjust sensitivity from windows control panel. That may effectively make windows "ignore" some ratio of movements, but physically all your movements are tracked by the mouse more accurately, so whatever ratio of samples the software tracks, is going to be much more accurate. It's better than relying on DPI alone for sensitivity.

I’m pretty sure shroud would never say that. Shroud respects Hiko a lot and Hiko has a very high sensitivity, its almost double what most pros use. The only reason Hiko uses 1600dpi is to make it easier to navigate menus on a 1080p monitor. There are dozens of unique aim styles and no right way to aim, its all preference.
