I don't know if you or Lian Li care about my opinion but here it is. If they put a hinged door on the front for easy access, you would have nearly perfect case. Lots of people accidently drop the side panel or set it on the corner, when removing it. Just put 2 hinges on the back corner with magnetic closer and you've got it. Thanks for letting me share. I also REALLY appreciate popup information that shows when you get to the bottom of the review article instead of popping up in the middle when you are trying to read the page blocking what you are trying to reading. This case looks like it solves all the problems I had with the 011 Dynamic XL and then some. I ended up moving my build to a Phanteks Ecliipse P600S and am fairly happy with it though.

@@johnerikson2443 There wasn't enough space between the top of the motherboard and the top of the case, so my top rad was kind of mashing my EPS cables down (not exactly a problem, but I'd prefer the heaps of space above it so it wasn't doing that like in this case). The little bottom fan mounts were cheap and easily broken, whereas in this one it looks like they're constructed better and completely removable to do up outside the case. The XL had a system where some little piece was easy to break, I even knew about it from GN's case review, and it still broke on me, but I can't reemmber exactly why. The motherboard tray wasn't removable or adjustable, which would have made building much easier. The hard drive cages were in the upper right, and if it was possible to adjust or remove them, I couldn't figure out how, so they were basically just massively in my way and I felt like I didn't have any space for cable management because of them. That may be still be an issue in this one to be fair. The HDD cages used a captive thumbscrew, and I accidentally pulled it out all the wayand it was a massive pain and the locking sleds slid over, and it was a massive pain to get it lined back up and put back in without the screw in it. That may also still be an issue with this one for all I know, but at least I know to watch out for that now. The side fan mounts weren't removable, so all that had to be done inside the case if memory serves. I don't even think the top rad mount was removable (or if it was, it wasn't as good as the one in my current case). This case just looks like building in it would be such a breeze as you can take all the fan mounts and motherboard tray out, mount all that stuff up, then slide it into place and screw it in, etc.

Excellent case. There are two things I would like to see in this case taken from 011 Dynamic XL. First HDD tray accessible from outside and front panel I/O mount on top or right side (can't put case on a table). Than it will be perfect for me

I really hate the fact that you have to use a 120mm fan in the back in a "all 140mm case" also everyone is waiting for the vision version. Also we have regular evo and vision for 120mm fans, why we need 120mm mounting systems that partially block the air from the 140mm fans?

Unusually, you've left the opportunity to build on what you've presented. Suppress all the silver accents with white/black stickers (over fan hubs) and/or paint. Get anal about the visible cabling, solid white or no lighting. and I think the job would be jobbed. You'd have a spacious black and white aesthetic that said "Alps and room to breathe". It'd be minimalist and de-cluttered. THEN take your time on planning to use the space better - or not. I think with a little TLC it'd make a refreshing statement as is. Less as more. 😉 👍👍👍

Good video, quite informative... like always. Thank you. But something bothers me: It's easy to say (or like Lian Li to write it in the manual) that the case supports 420mm radiators (or AIOs). Well, that's only the combined fan dimension, but what is the actual maximal available space for the radiator, as they vary in length (450-480mm for example) and width ( up to 150mm for example) quite significantly? Would there be actually enough space for 3x 420mm crossflow radiators including the needed fittings and the (hard-)tubes?

Great Video and Info!! Why not mount the PSU with fan towards the hot backplate of CPU, might take off few C digits from CPU temps? Why nullify the role of PSU which always had : to remove partially the hot air out of PC cases. Not to say in this case the HDD mounted in upper box will suffer from heat coming out from CPU backplate.

Thank you for the review, the case is indeed nice, but why oh why does it not support SSI EEB motherboards? There looks to be plenty of space for EEB MB tray, and it would probably not even overhang the cable cutouts. 3x420mm radiator support is a huge improvement over the regular o11 XL, but this much cooling really means that you have either 2xCPU+1xGPU or 1xCPU+2xGPU or probably 3xGPU. With very few exceptions those setups imply HEDT or server platforms. Like w790 SAGE - EEB form factor, or WRX90 - also EEB form factor. Multi-CPU boards are almost exclusively EEB as well. So why make the tray with only ATX standoffs? Any why remove support for dual PSUs? In workstation scenario I'd use local hard drive for OS only, all the data would be stored on some separate external storage anyway. And I don't see much point in four hot-swappable disks in home use either. So pls make one of "hot-swap" bays replaceable by an auxilliary PSU. Overall, it is a nice case with some clever features, but some drawbacks as well as some questionable design desicions. If it supported EEB-size boards and retained support for two PSUs, I would be already ordering one. For now I guess the search for an ideal case continues.

It's weird that you guys decided to leave the corner support in for all of your cinematics, considering the removal of it was definitely one of the main selling points for enthusiast builders with this new generation of dual chamber cases. It's kind of doing Lian Li a disservice to only have like 30 seconds in the entire 37 minute video where you mention the removal of the support and then leave it in afterward lol.

The case doesn't feel very strong at all with the support removed, there is a lot of flex in the top, unlike the Phanteks NV7. Also the sample we had was pre-production so the front/side glass clips were not secure, these were made from an alternative material in retail units. Because of this it didn't feel safe moving the case into different positions for the b roll so I didn't want to risk damage. With a system inside it's very heavy and difficult to handle.

Two flaws in this case that makes a no go for me. 1 - Not enough clearance for horizontally mounted gpus. 2 - Not enough clearance between the top of the mobo to top of case for anything more than the skinniest rad or aio.

Great video! I'm considering using two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPUs in a horizontal configuration with air cooling. With the motherboard positioned at the top, I believe this setup could optimize airflow and heat dissipation for both GPUs. as an owner of the original XL, it's quite nice to see that Lian Li have improved their product in so many ways ... while I don't care that much for all the options since I will probably use it for a simple regular build, it seems like there are quite a few things improved ... the only thing I don't really understand are the hd trays, it seems like the old way was better imho, I don't get the argument about the back of the case facing the wall .. just move your PC ... much simpler than having to remove the side panel imho (especially when cable management is messy and you have to put back all cables to close it)
