I was doing this in GK during these last set of T10 brawls. The moment we kept clear line of sight, I'd turn away and most opponents would chase after me while my secondary guns lit him up. None of them would turn away unless it was to launch torps which gave me broadside with all 4 turrets and they still stayed on the side my guns were on... Granted, I would turn to keep him there, but it won me a lot of matches.

Pretty much this, and it works with any brawling ship. It even works against DDs or cruisers trying to yolo you.

@@DasTod Nice made-up story you got there, but the video does not sell anything as "ultimate" or even a hardcounter to anything. It simply clears up a common mistake people make and shows what to do in that case. No need to be so defensive about it unless you feel personally called out or something.

But your opponent will also have to, unless he starts turning left and broadside

@@AlexECX this is true but especially when your opponent is maybe lower health or you sense some vulnerability, you want to keep all of your guns on him for as long as possible. And that’s hard instinct to overcome. Lose some DPM for a while in order to preserve some health. In a way I doing this you kind of put both you and your opponent in the same situation assuming he does not turn complete broadside.

if I'm on the kiting side and i saw the enemies ship using this technique. i'll turn my whole gun into the other side instead, bit turn the ship into other side and boom u had good kiting angle again. it's just a matter of who will follow the whose game flow. if you fall into enemies game flow, then you're done.
