Completely agree, ya don’t need much space. Built mine in a single car garage, then did the final assembly (wing mounting) at the hangar. I feel inspired to make a tools video.

Nice really loving your videos keep them up definitely inspiring me for my zenith. I love hearing about guys that are totally down to earth and focused on saving money in aviation there’s so much snake oil and aviation it’s not even funny. Going to build my Cruzer in half of my two car garage since my wife doesn’t wanna move her car ha ha

I picked up a partially built 601xl. With a modest panel and the DIY yamaha Apex conversion for the engine; I’m planning on having it done and flying for 30K

Hey Bruno, I will see you at Hermans rudder workshop. I plan on building a 750 SD as I plan on putting floats on my aircraft.

I Came in form the Zenith Forums and that is the about the size of space I have when I start my build. I received the Homebuilthelp.com videos for Christmas and will be studying those over the next few weeks. Great video about the Slats that I will now note the differences when I get to that part of the videos. I look forward to following you on your building journey.

@@MooseStacheFlyer Thanks. I am looking at the Ch750. I have flown in a Ch750 and its more than roomie enough for me. Still not sure if I'll upgrade it to SD. I still have a few things sort out before ordering the kit. I want to look at the videos to make sure that it's within my capabilities. The builder that I flew in his Ch750 said its basically an Ikea Aircraft to assemble. Looking forward to more videos in the coming weeks and months.

@@MooseStacheFlyer Yes its that extra weight capability that has me looking at the SD. Is it worth the additional cost when I could put that into the avionics and engine? I am still undecided but More than likely just like you go with the CH750. I have watched all the videos on your channel and really well done showing the plans exploded view so I get my head around what is actually going on.

I'm building in a 24 x 24 shop full of wood working saws ect. big challenge to move stuff and try to make enough space. building a cruzer and have wings and tail done ready to order fuselage. Still trying to decide on engine. seems like UL power will be to pricey. so looking at Viking and aeromomuntum but really like the Jabiru 3300 not dependent on battery and computer. let us know wich way you are leaning on engine when time comes. Keep up the good work.

Hey Bruno I bought a flying 701. I’m 53 and a student pilot and working on sport lic. I need about 2 hrs before solo. Love the 701 it fits my mission. I have a friend who built one and that helped me make my mind up. I’m still thinking about building one. My son worked for an A&P during high school. So I would love to build my own down the road. Love the videos.

Hey man just watched , liked and subscribed. I am a kinda big guy so a 601 is not for me. Really hashing out over the CH 750 SD from Zenith and the CH 801 from Zenair. It looks like the 750 SD is match hole pre-drilled and might go together in half the time of the 801 SD. Also looks like many more options for a mid time/high time lycoming o-360 in the $10k +/- range for a 750 powerplant vs the 235 hp powerplant they recommend for the 801 sd. Anyway, thanks for the content...I know it is a bunch of extra hustle to get it edited and up. Plan to watch all your stuff.

I'm building a kitfox model IV and the wings fold. There wings are almost complete and hang in my dining room right now. The wings will be the last thing to go on. I'm moving soon and hoping for a little larger space. A local builder told me to do something everyday even if it's just picking up and organizing to prepare for another day.

20x20 can work too, don't forget to use your ceiling space for storage, you are working in cubic feet, not just square feet. www.zenith.aero/photo/20140829-190019?context=user Great videos! And good luck with your project!

One subject that could use some publicity is the Zenith Construction Standards document (with a mention of FAA AC43.13). One specific section in the Zenith document is the acceptable repairs section. I know my progress stalled a few times due to the fear of making mistakes, after a few minor screw ups and finding how straight forward it was to fix them, I found I spent more time on the project and less time worrying, this in turn improved my workmanship and I made fewer errors. Best way to avoid "Progress Paralysis" is to keep working! Even if it means just sweeping or organizing the shop while you think through the issue. My project was a plans only build, so it was also nice to know replacement parts could be made quickly and cheaply if I made a major oops. All the work and worrying is very much worth it though, I've been flying my 750 for a year now and absolutely love it! It is a bit slow of course, but I knew that before I built it. I have a few flight videos on youtube, nothing flashy and no music (except for the wonderful sound of my o-200), I'm hoping to add to them with more low and slow type of flying this spring sometime, maybe some local camping adventures!
