First of all I'm going to state that I am 100% biased when it comes to this palette as I work for Glaminatrix and would have personally put this palette together. I adore this palette as a lovely twist on neutrals, which as you said is a staple palette in everyone's collection. I find the shimmers pick up really well with natural hair brushes, like rephr, and can definitely be built up with a finger or sponge applicator. We will be restocking this one in I believe august/September. Thank you so much for your review as always. I definitely love dusty Rose colours and that may be a hint of that in an upcoming palette.

I also have a son that is the same age as your boy and I am constantly testing eyeshadows and getting looks when I take him to swimming lessons but I would love to start him at gymnastics.

Thanks for suggesting old school sponge applicators! I have huge fingers so I use them a lot to apply shimmers. People always say “who still uses those sponge applicators?” but I find that they work just as well as a finger but with more precision! Thanks for helping to put out such a great palette

Look 3 is stunning! I love a simple, understated eye, but with something metallic to make your eyes pop. All the looks were very pretty!

I like color but I prefer to wear color on my eyes in a softer, more romantic way like the shades in this palette. What I really like is that even though it's an overall soft & light colorstory there are a couple deep shades to add drama & depth if you want. I always prefer having a definite light, medium & dark shade to work with in mattes with lighter, brighter pops of shimmer/sparkle to finish a look & add variety. This palette is so pretty!

An excellent review as per usual Kat 😊 You are one of my go-to reviewers. I managed to snatch one of these at launch and I just want to confirm what you said regarding indie brands and neutral palettes. I work in a conservative business, I love makeup and I love to support indie brands, but I can simply not rock up to business meetings in bright blue and lime green makeup with a multi-chrome on top. That's just the reality, it's not about me I am there to represent the company (not practice self-expression) and (so no one would think me a victim of circumstance) it wouldn't fit my personality either. All power to you who can and want to wear color, not raining on your parade 😊I love watching people who do colorful makeup and I watch reviews of it as well. But I do still not only want to buy mainstream "boring palettes" just because I can't (and won't) wear the full colors of the rainbow on my eyes. So I am one of these people you are talking about, who are just dying to buy palettes from indie brands, but they do not seem to want my money. 😅 Or I'd have to buy a palette but not use many of the shades, which seams like a waste. Therefore I am so, so, so happy Glaminatrix (who I have been eyeing for a while now 😉) decided to go and make the nearly neutral palette! I placed into my cart and checked out quicker than anyone could say "neutral"😅! And I will also catch the nocturnal one as a companion palette when it is back (for the last time?) to pre-order later on this year for those very rare moments I use color just to even further support the brand.

This palette looks absolutely divine! I ordered as soon as it launched & am so excited to receive it in August. You did an amazing review Kat, all the looks you did are stunning & I love the way you explained why you used certain colours together, like using the warmer transition as well because a look can become too cool toned. It was all very interesting & informative! I’m 47 & sometimes looks don’t work but I don’t know why, so I definitely learnt a few things. What a fantastic take on ‘natural’. So interesting. Love a shimmer/metallic to matte ration. I do a Hannah Louise Poston take on eyeshadow now and pile on the shimmer/metal all over and sometimes use a matte to contour my eye socket if needed.

I was so excited about a multi look review. I enjoy everything you deliver but you really give the best multi look reviews. Nah, scratch that, you shine in every video. I like the palette. Unfortunately, I just bought the Tarte Full Bloom and I cannot justify another natural palette. I have the Huda Rose Quartz, the Natasha Denona Retro and the Tarte. Another fantastic and such wonderfully indepth review. I'm in the states and the only reason I haven't bitten the bullet and bought a Glaminatrix palette yet is cuz of the shipping prices. I guess I know how the rest of the world feels now! I know, I know. But dammit this is beautiful. I wonder how it compares to the Blend Bunny Dollhouse palette? Another indie brand foray into "nudes." Nudes with hints of wearable color. UPDATE... doggone it... i just ordered it. LOL I was considering the Lunar Beauty Nude Prism too (speaking of more indie brands doing nudes) but in the end, this one is more unique and the Lunar Beauty one I could easily recreated from my vast collection.

I know you asked Kat but Viseart is just one of the best matte shadows out there and they layer beautifully too. I like them over PatM and Natasha Denona and have crazy staying power on my hooded lids. I feel like I am playing with my art supplies with how well they mix and layer. Their shimmers are more satin shimmers which is not my preference (I prefer the indie va va va voom ) but they work beautifully on my 53 y/o matured lids by not highlighting my creasy/wrinkly eyelid texture. 🤣

I love Viseart eyeshadows, they are really easy to use and give a lovely effect on the eye. They are generally a more subtle texture though, so you don't get sparkly or really bold shimmers, but I love them for more subtle looks. One of my favourite eyeshadow formulas for sure! If you like one of the colour stories, I do recommend checking them out!

The Paris Edit or the Cashmere Entendu or possibly the Rose Edit would all have shades you might like. The 2 Edit palettes contain metallics & duochromes that are very nice. They are my most used Viseart palettes.

They hand make them, so Australian made. But I vaguely remember seeing on Instagram that they might be/have engaged a manufacturer so they can up production. Not sure the details though.
