I like these comparisons. I'm a beauty snob and pyscologically I go for more expensive but I'll be honest, I'm surprised how good the morphe looks

Cheers! Yeah overall I think Armani looks nicer for longer, but the difference is so minor that I am happy to save that for more special occasion makeup and use Morphe daily 😊

I recently bought the morphe and I love how it looks/ wears on my more mature and drier skin but the shade is not quite right. I may have to get a second one to mix like you. Great review!! Armani has always been on my wish list but too pricey for me. Also, I thought that I got a faulty bottle because the cap didn’t stay on but I guess that it wasn’t a one off! 😂

I've just finished my bottle of Armani luminous silk. I find I'm similar shades to you in foundation and I had shade 4 which was a bit light on initial application but it oxidised within 30 minutes to match me quite well. I would see if you can get a sample of shade 4 to try because perhaps your sample was labelled incorrectly. This Morphe foundation definitely looks worth trying.

Maybe it is just certain shades that oxidise. It was really bad on me with the slightly deeper shades I first tried

As a luxury brand, the shade discrepancy ought to be a big problem they have to resolve for you! Buying a full bottle from a sample they provide , and it is not the same… has anyone in CS helped you out?

I did. I contacted them via the website and didn't get any reply so I called them on the customer service number, I then provided details/photos/serial numbers etc via email. They said they will look into it and get back to me. When I didn't hear back I made sure to follow them up weekly for any updates. Eventually after about 2 months of asking, they replied "please be advised we have been approved to issue the refund for the product without having to return it..." They never explained why the issue occurred.

@@KitschSnitch That’s so disappointing :( Good that at least you got a refund. I bought 3.5 which was supposed to be a lt/md olive but it’s way too neutral peach. No olive in at all imo.

How odd, I was lucky enough to be in a store looking for a new foundation, and the sales assistant helped me shade match my G.A. So I didn’t have to mess with samples or guess purchase online. By looking at yours, your sample looks more like the shade I bought, which is 5! However the way the shades are numbered, my shade 5 should be deeper or have a different undertone to the 4.5. Your full size 4.5 looks even darker than my 5, they’ve definitely messed with it and that sample in my opinion must’ve been incorrectly labelled
