What do you think of Lego Fortnite, one year later? My friends recently started up a new world and I gave it a second chance... and we've been having a ton of fun! 😌

I thought it was obvious it was gonna get updated, changed and grow? Fortnite is a live service game it in 2017 isn't the same as it now. Minecraft wasn't perfect when it came out, it's been in development for over a decade. When Lego first came out i thought "this is promising. Can't wait to see where it is in a year". And now, a year later, it's gotten better. Vehicles, more in depth crafting, more enemies, dungeons with floors and challenges, a boss. I can't wait to see where it is next year

Lego Fortnite having had these ups and downs to now a stable 50-70K players is amazing. I always returned for the updates, playing it for a couple of days to get everything I wanted out them before "quiting" for a while. I am happy with the way the game is now, and still return from time to time to beat the stormking once more. I can't wait for the next update, bringing new places to explore and stuff to craft and play around with. Anyone also want them to add regular bows and special arrow types? like the bows from chapter 2 season 6, a stink/fire/explosive/shockwave/grapple bow or arrows and maybe more exclusive variants? Just me?

Lemme give my own take, here we go: Can you destroy terrain? - Yes and No: Yes being with in caves with very hard to find false walls which need dynamite to blow up to get hidden chests on the other end (in frost caves rarely), and no, not to dig like going into the center of the Earth or that sort of thing. Can you farm crops? - Yes, dirt mounds and with a few chances you'll dig up some small consumables or seeds to grow with. Is there weather? - Yes: It gets cold/snows, gets hot/dry and rains (Remember using a station without a roof: "Can't use in the rain.") Are the worlds infinite? - Yes and No: Yes, make as many new worlds in the lobby as you'd like too or add in a seed number, as for no, that was in the initial release's amount of space per world, later on it increased and got bigger (and it still feels like infinity). So yes yes. Can you share your worlds online? - Yes, if you have a key to give to an Epic friend you have, the limit is up to eight key holders per world meanwhile (I still wait for a key holder amount increase). Can you engineer and wire contraptions? - Yes, even at initial release there was the single switch and engines, but later on it got improved and a lot easier to use. Is there endgame content? - Yes, the Frost Brute was the original endgame, but later on it finally became the Storm King (along with continuing to expand and make builds). Are there extra ways to play like Skyblock? - Yes, even at intitial launch, you can still experiment with new ideas or self-challenges and try them out in sandbox and survival modes. Later on, LEGO Fortnite Creative allowed a newer approach to give creators the freedom to make their own modes once it came out. Can you create mods or texture packs? - No, BUT for legal reasons first and foremost (Don't forgot the partnership deal that Epic Games and LEGO have made officially. Whatever they say can only go, but only through their set permissions). Also, so that that original game itself can't be tampered with or be made a knockoff of. As for everything else. It all was being worked on during, before and after the winter break and later into the new year of 2024. PS: Charms were already in the first release of the game (Mechanical Mayhem update brought a couple new charms). Pizza was also part of the original release as well. The Butter Cake meanwhile was the only new food item that was in the game around the summer of 2024, but it came before the Lost Isles/Klombo update landed. I'm done now. Good video btw!

It’s pretty fun as a time wasting XP farming game, but, they keep changing the fundamentals of the game, like weapons and tools, and the materials you find in the wild. They keep changing how the weapon crafting looks and function. It’s pretty confusing at this point as to how the different tiers work, it used to be just like Battle Royale, where it went, grey, green, blue, purple, and gold. But now you can use like any materials to make a weapon. It’s more complex for players who want it for sure, but it’s pretty frustrating for beginners and people who haven’t played in months. And they keep changing which materials are super common and which ones are super rare. And it’s just again, confusing. Because for people who played a few months ago, if you join back in, you’ll be confused and upset because they made some very hard to get materials into common ones and vice versa. So you essentially just wasted many hours of your life farming certain rare materials, only to log back in and realize you can now find them just stuck to a rock that you find everywhere.

As a lego day one, I think the mayhem update saved the game. Like travelling was so hard back then, it was rocket science to build a good vehicle 😆. My world is now 1 year old and I'm still happy to play🙌🏽

I recently got back into playing Fortnite, Zero Build Battle Royale and the Lego Odyssey mode to get lots of xp, and I’ve been having a lot of fun! 😁 I’ve just finished completing my first village and getting it to level 10, and I’ve been doing other things and I’m still in the mid game, there’s still so much for me to see and do including the endgame! Plus I’ve already reached lvl 200 from completing quests in Battle Royale and Lego Odyssey, so I’m having a great time and intend to keep playing. 👍

The mode never failed, the players lack creativity, comparing Lego Fortnite in its beginning stage to modern day minecraft is insane. Lego had no effect on the shop and multiple non Lego skins were in the shop. The hate that Lego gets in its FIRST YEAR is just insane and not justified with how incredibly good the game and the updates were. Acting like certain things should have been there on launch is just stupid to me, it was obviously a beta because everyone could clearly see that it was unfinished, and with how ass chapter 5 was I'm glad they released it. The change from Lego Fortnite to Lego Fortnite Odyssey represents the game leaving its beta phase. It released in a rough state and constantly improved, making it just like br and to this day its still a success.

I still prefer Minecraft. The building system is way worse in Lego Fortnite. The most fun I had in the mode is going into creative and messing around with the wiring system at launch because of all the bugs. You could put a chair on top of a launch pad, sit on it, and go to the top of the map in seconds. But they patched that and most of the blocks can’t even be placed on each other. It just feels like a clone of Minecraft. That’s an issue with all of the modes (except for OG, Reload, BR, and STW) they all feel like bad copies of other games.

I really loved my 1 year old lego world until it broke! Support was useless. I wasn’t at the build limit anywhere, have excellent stable internet and played nearly every day. About 2 weeks ago after a server reset, I suddenly couldn’t use a bus station, then I could not walk more than 1000m from my house, both made my game freeze and crash. Every time I try it freezes and crashes. Can’t go anywhere, can’t fight the storm king or raven or a dungeon or go to my Star Wars area as all are 1000+ away. More players are getting this “ bug” every week. So I have now quit. Back to minecraft😃

Honestly, I don't like any of the early 2024 extra modes, festival (got old quickly), rocket racing (just a generic racing game) and I'm pretty sure Donald mustard specifically named lego fortnite when talking about why he retired so when I see lego fortnite all I can think about is what could have been if epic hadn't shifted focus toward the metaverse and instead continued with Donald mustard's story and multiverse cause maybe he would have continued to work on the game

I feel like another big reason people got bored so quickly with Lego Fortnite while people still go back to beta versions of Minecraft today is that in Minecraft, you can build things block by block what you make is truly your own. Lego Fortnite just allows you to pick from prebuilt kits so it never really feels like *you* created something and just makes the options feel way more limited. There isn’t much of a difference between my lego village and yours

You know you can free build? You are somewhat limited to the size and look of certain parts like walls/floors/... but you don't need to follow blueprints. You can even start a blueprint, abandon it and either keep it half finished or use it as a foundation.

This video is alot like internet historians no man’s sky comeback but for fortnite, I think Lego Fortnite had no depth to begin with and when a game comes out and people make up their minds that its bad already it’s very hard to come back from that, think of cyberpunk or again no man’s sky. But at the end of the day epic games isn’t interested in making full fledged deep game modes within fortnite, their more interested in having the community make maps for them so the can sit back and only need to do small maintenance. Further developing on that point, save the world was slowly being left in the dark the more battle Royale outshined its success so no wonder they stopped development on it and claimed save the world was finished, even though it never got a proper ending.
