Agree with your post, but I don't think there's a world's cutest kitten. Except the cat I grew up with, Sandy! Sandy had the same coloring as this cat but more of a beige and he was a little bigger than this one. I remember the first time he saw snow. He was in the driveway outside the kitchen where there was a large window. A lot was coming down steadily though not hard. He saw the snow flakes and was occasionally swatting at one. Absolutely precious!

The bond between a person and a cat can be incredible. My wife found our little guy (Oliver) as an abandoned kitten outside her work. There are men that think in terms of liking cats as being "feminine" and liking dogs as being "masculine". Where they get that idea, I don't know. The other excuse I've heard from men for not liking cats is that they're "sneaky". They prefer the devotion/dependence of a dog that is automatically deferred upon their human as the assumed leader of the pack, as opposed to having to actually earn the same position of trust/authority from a cat.

Soon he's gonna start feeding Sasha from his own plate at dinner time! My Dad was a dog person originally, but when the litten my Sister-in-law brought over fell asleep on his shoulder while my dad was watching TV, suddenly his repeated objections to having a pet cat melted away, and not long after that Litten enjoyed privileges that not even a dog could enjoy with my dad! LOL After that, my Dad let 'Billy' swipe little morsels of meat off his plate at dinner time. Billy would sit on dad's lap and reach his paw up onto the rim of Dad's plate, so my dad pushed a few tiny morsels of meat close to the edge where Billy would gently and slowly pull the meat off the plate onto my dad's lap where he could eat it. Dad couldn't have cared less about getting food on his pants when this happened! LOL I miss them both very much.

This is exactly what happened when my husband arranged to get a kitten to help ME get over the sudden death of our beloved cat. He & the kitten were instantly inseparable. Every morning at 6am, he & the new kitty, Rusty would snuggle & watch 3 hours of "I Love Lucy" re-runs. My husband would feed Rusty treats the whole time. Finally, I had to have the vet scold him because the cat was getting really fat! By then Rusty was so attached to my husband that he still stuck around for 2 hours of "Lucy", even w/out the treats! My husband passed away shortly after the kitty turned 7 years old, this past November. Every time I'd go to the bathroom, he would follow me and look under my seat to see what I was doing, sitting on this THING that looked like a chair but wasn't. It really puzzled him to understand what I was doing. Then one day when I finished cleaning the bathroom, I forgot to close the toilet bowl with the lid. I walked back in and there he was, sitting on the toilet and peeing! He had finally figured it out for himself. From that point on, he used the toilet for peeing. And all self-taught! Same thing here, and my little cat. When I got her as a kitten I couldn't keep my eyes from watching her. And after she grew into a adult cat I find that she is so much more than just a cute little ball of fur going after this or that. The getting older side of things makes me appreciate her so much. It's been a blessing.

Reminds me of my first cat Rascal. She was the size of my fist when she came home. Stuck to me like glue and went on many road trips cross country with me. Would lay on the top of my trucks drivers headrest or on the dash. she was 15 when God took her away. Miss that cat so much. Have three good cats now but Rascal was my best girl. That little cat saw me thru some rough years and brought me so much comfort and joy. Hope to see her again when my time runs out.

Owners or caretakers, not parents. These people did not give birth to this cat. They're also not raising him to one day leave the house and have a life of his own, like parents do. They're his caretakers until he dies, which is NOT what a parent does.
@jayaswati15052 жыл бұрын
@@james_ford86 not all people give birth to human child. Many adopt children from orphanages so aren't they the parents.
@james_ford862 жыл бұрын
@@jayaswati1505 Love how you totally ignored the other criteria of being a parent. Parents, whether we're talking birth, adopted, step-, whatever, have a job to do. That's to raise the child to the point where the child becomes an adult and can provide for themselves. There are some exceptions to this, like if the child is mentally disabled, etc., but even then, the parent still has to make sure that child is taken care of when they're gone. For the most part, however, the goal of parenthood is to raise a human being to be an independent person capable of taking care of themselves. This is impossible with a cat, dog, or any other pet. That pretty much disqualifies pet ownership as parenthood. It's very clearly NOT the same thing.
@james_ford862 жыл бұрын
@@jayaswati1505 Don't get me wrong. I have three cats, and love them very dearly, but they are NOT children. If I were ever faced with a situation where I had to choose between feeding my human children OR my cats, with no alternatives, you'd better believe I'll let the cats starve first. Any sane person would do the same thing in that case. Thankfully, I make good money and I don't think that scenario would ever happen. Even if it did, I'd likely surrender the cats to a shelter than actually let them starve. But the scenario I outlined was either feed the kids or the cats with no other choices. So, based on that, I chose correctly.

The same here as well, first feral litter had 4 but one didn't make it so I took in those 3 (2 male and one female) didn't get the males neutered in time and had 3 more to which 1 of those didn't make it so I kept the 2 remaining. I already had one inside cat which she is a taleless tortie and now 5 more which 4 of them are orange tabbies and one white one. So 6 inside cats inside a house that's 950sq ft which creates alot of work but also alot of smiles 😃
