@Catherine Patterson I was the little sister who followed her brothers around. My grandma (mums mum) tried to get me to dress in skirts and girl stuff that she had made (they were pretty) and I refused because I was a tomboy and followed my 2 big brothers everywhere on the farm. I had to wear shorts and tshirts "just like daddy and the boys". My oldest brother still looks out for me more than 35 years later (I'm in my 40's). We talk every day and he visits often. All dogs can be sweet. It's just that bully breeds get a bad rap because larger breeds with power like them can do more damage when they are just doing dog things. @KingofNightmares My cat is black and white but still called Shadow. He is called Shadow because I rescued him and he follows me around like a shadow. His favourite meal is tuna from a can, the first meal I ever gave him. He was abandoned by his previous owners as a kitten and more than 6 months later I moved into his old house. My therapy dog adopted him as her baby and would let him steal her dog bickies (she was grumpy with everyone else). He has a hard time trusting humans because of some nasty neighbours who admitted to hurting him instead of helping. He has grown to trust one of my brothers who visits often. He loves my mum and her gentle pats, she buys him treats and tins of tuna when she visits every couple of months. Shadow is still not sure of my dad, he was the "scary monster" who took Shadow and I to the vet to get his shots, etc. Recently he let dad pat him for about a minute, a breakthrough 6 years in the making. Shadow is about 8 years old now so hopefully we have years more to go. I hope you have lots of good memories of your Shadow. Well, this makes for the third cat, that I know of, that wasn't afraid of water. There was the cat my family had when I was a child who became so used to taking baths, that she would just stand there and let us bathe her. 16 years ago, I got a kitten, and the first time I bathed her, she just stood there and drank the water as I gave her a bath. Not all cats fall into the same category when it comes to water. Just like people, cats are all unique unto themselves.

The day they wanted to leave she was out exploring and they called her and called her but she didn’t show up right away. They waited a couple of hours For her and she did turn up and they were able to leave.
