I think they did it right, because if too young this could have caused the mom to move them and put them in danger; if they weren't going to bring them in the house. Sometimes, it's best to wait, unless your committed to caring for them. Of course not everyone can take in a litter of kittens although I WISH that were the case. We have listened to you and finally after 3 litters we finally trapped “Marilyn” the feral community ho.Marilyn and 5 kittens are now in our guest room in a covered giant dog crate with a nesting box- the mom has been great- 2 of 5 kittens just started to eat Cat food- mama will be spayed in 2-3 weeks- we already found a spay clinic. We still have 4 of her previous litter-looking for homes-they are all sterilized and human loving. Thank you for teaching us how to catch her. Covering the trap and stinky food helped. We let her eat in an unsprung trap-then we got her the next day. Her current babies are already used to handling. We will do our best by them. And Marilyn will go back to our barn.

So cute kittens 🤗. It would be wonderful if the pizza shop owner would decide to adopt them all too, if possible 🤗

It’s fun that I ran into this video today! Because I just rescued a little feral kitten in my backyard like a week ago and I love her so much 🥺🖤

Sheds are perfect places for critters. Our old Monster, a refugee from the 40-cat house across the street, moved into ours and lived off yard gophers til we took her in. She wound up having 4 kittens under the waterbed; on3 of these and monster herself were with us their whole lives. At present, there is a mummified possum in the shed.
