There are more enough nipples to get milk from. And they're supposed to fixate on the same one every time. Yet you always see these kittens fighting over a nipple. Just like kids fight over parents attention to them. I think nature is actually telling us, all sentient live on earth, is populated by those consumed with assholism.

I do hope all the kittens survived. At this age it's absolutely vital they get fed about every 2-3 hours. I couldn't have simply waited and filmed their fight that long without helping. And regarding nature taking its course: the mama cat is a tame cat, so the human influence and involvement is already too big to let everything "just happen". The owner has assumed a responsibility here.

It was cute for like 15 seconds. Then the owner should have redirected the gray one to another teat. Those little claws could still cause injuries especially with repeated scratches near the eyes. Domestic animals require human intervention, these are not wild cats and you don’t let “nature work it out” in other aspects of their life, so why would you allow this in completely defenseless kittens. Some people are too stupid to care for anything other than themselves.

Trivia tidbit: Unlike puppies, kittens tend to bond to a specific nipple the first few times they nurse. Thus, when fostering, its helpful to train them onto a nipple the other kits dont use to prevent competition. Thats what ive read anyway ...
