Aww Kiki and Midna freaking out reminds me of when we moved from our appartment to our house with the cats. Our one cat spend the first few days under the blankets on the bed and wouldn't leave our bedroom . They will get used to it eventually though . Congrats on the new place, it's gorgeous :)

At some point you guys should put something around the furnace and water heater. One so the kitties don't get stuck, but also (mainly with the furnace) so they dont find any weird holes in the furnace that they can get into or so they don't get burned. Kittens are just furry toddlers, if there is a way for them to get hurt they will probably find it.

I meant to say this on yesterdays vlog, but the reason there are three doors going outside, and so many doors inside is because you need to have that many if you wanted to change the basement in to an apartment, you have to have two extra doors for exit routes. I'm assuming that when the people built the house they thought about changing the downstairs area in to an apartment, and at that point you have to have a common space with a door and then the basement suite would have to have it's own door as well. Also for the creepy closet i would do as Christian said, store all your boxes in it, flattened down so that the next time you need to pack something away or the next time you move you don't have to go searching for boxes. Then you have no need to go in to that closet and the cats can't get in there.

Yeah it seems like they had that idea and then decided to sell it, and the new owners just renovated it and then left it at that. Of course it's always nice to have those exits as fire exits i just figured i would say something because that explains all the doors through the different areas of the house not just the doors to the outside yards. I know if you are trying to put in an apartment in the basement you have to have doors to the outside, as well as doors that close off the upstairs from the down stairs along with the different wiring and sound proofing and what not. There's a lot that goes in to it, so that would explain like why there would be doors to close off the stairs and things like that.

I love how midna (sorry if I spelt it wrong), the shyer kitty, was like running out of the carrier to look around. And Kiki who is the the more out going kitty, was hiding in the carrier. It was so cute!!!

Oh poor baby...that breaks my heart. Kiki is sooooo scared. but it was actually best to leave them. that way their first introduction isn't meet with the moving and the noise from the move. so it was a good idea to leave them so it would be nice and quiet for them while they are getting use to the new place. that meow is still heart breaking though :(

Hey Baylee, sorry this is a little late but you might be interested in a product called Feliway - it's based on the pheromones that a momma cat releases to her nursing kittens and it can really help cats relax when faced with changes like moving home! Might help your fur babies settle in nice and comfy a little faster... It's also not detectable to humans - no funny smells. You can get in pet stores in the UK, or from veterinarians.

You should get like a little cafe table with 2 seats for the kitchen corner. Even if you put a table in the dining room it's nice to have one in the kitchen for someone to sit and chat if you are busy in the kitchen......of if your dining table is covered with a board game lol. Or you could put some shelves there to fill the space.........or......orrrrrrr a portable dishwasher!!! lol. Look at me decorating your new house like I am the one moving in. Totally jealous.

I was researching the portable dishwasher thing, and I might do it. I would need an adapter because of my faucet. We'll see how things go without one, then I'll decide! I later thought about a small table with two chairs as well! Just not a four seater like Christian wanted. It's not quite big enough for that.

BumbleBaylee Yeah I had a portable dishwasher for a while and had the little adapter thing but I got rid of it cause it leaked and took up room. I actually dont mind doing dishes by hand now because I dont have to wash pots and pans or put away, that is my son's part of dishes lol

I heard orange and lemon is also repulsive to spiders. they don't like the taste in their feet. Peppermint is my favorite though! I've washed my porch beams with peppermint extract and soap and it repulsed spiders and wasps for the longest. 😀

Omg that soda you drank is the best, it's my favorite it comes in a ton of different flavors. I love Jarritos lol. The poor babies my heart broke hearing them cry, moving with pets are always so hard since they have no idea what's going on. I'm sure they'll get use to the new house in no time though! The echo of the cats meow on the new empty house was cute =^_^= That is a really big house! Wow! Will take tons of furniture to furnish... how fun! Check out consignment shops and thrift stores when furniture shopping. Sometimes you can find really nice stuff. Oh, also Craigslist. Don't know if you have that in Canada. We bought a fancy 100 year old antique Dinning Set from someone there for only like $300. The buffet by itself it's worth so much more! I love decorating! ^_^

At 9:34, since you said the kitchen didn't come with a dishwasher, you could get a loan to afford home furnishing and a dishwasher too! :D You might be a busy person, but that is a good idea if you ever want to fill up your house with new furniture. Unless the bank won't let you yet.

Hey Baylee!! so happy for you guys!! Just want to tell you not to put anything abrasive on those granite countertops. Dish washing liquid for every day cleaning and yellow windex once a week. The yellow windex doesn't have any amonia in it (the stone will react to amonia- it will discolor the stone and it will also damage the polishing)... plus the yellow windex degreases the counter and also removes the soap residue.

If your having a spider problem using Peppermint oil scares them away and kills them. Trust me , my house used to have a spider problem and it worked like a charm! Also, your art is amazing and you are an amazing person! :D

Perhaps you could put like a small bar in the empty kitchen area? If guests may ever come over perhaps you could set some food down there or a quick place to eat breakfast? I don't know XD We got a pantry installed in an area similar to that when we moved since we found there wasn't as much space as we thought would fit in the kitchen, but then again it is just you two, and I have a family of four. I don't know, we'll see!

I understand how the cat thing goes, at the house my family rented in California we weren't supposed to have any pets, but at one time I did have a cat, kind of an accidental thing though where she was a stray, boarderline ferral though, and I started feeding her and she just became my cat, and eventually we started letting her into the house.We had to keep it quiet during any inspections though.
