Thank you for filming this beautiful walk that has magnificent views in both directions. From 1962 until 1973 my family holidayed at Whitecliff Bay and our favourite walk was over Culver Down to Sandown then on to Shanklin along the Cliff path. We were mighty glad to get to the Hideaway (still there after all these years) for a cup of tea or ice cream. After an hour or two in Shanklin we would walk back in the reverse direction and arrive back at our starting point quite exhausted. I notice that a section of the original cliff path that we would have used has been fenced and a diversion put in place. Another favourite of ours was the walk from Ventnor over the summit of St Boniface Down, then along the main road into Shanklin old village. A truly lovely Island.

Thank you for this. I stayed in Sandown with some friends in 1969. First holiday without parents! Would love to back to the Isle some day.
