Try cleaning the edge of the cartridge with some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. Usually fixes these sorts of problems.

I love the idea of "Mario Kart, but you can go off-track and find secrets". I remember playing Mario Kart 64 and being amazed by one Royal Raceway where you can visit Peach's Castle. It's completely useless to go there but as a kid it blew my mind.

The plots pretty vague but here's what I can gather. The game seems to be possessed by a cereal killer whenever he kills someone they become an npc in the game. The reason why he didn't just kill us anyways was because the killer is a sadist he wants to give a false sense of security and then kill them as well as inadvertently torturing the previous victims. I also heard each stage represents the seven deadly sins so maybe we're just being tortured in hell

it's an interesting idea. I didn't do any reasearch but i was thinking that in the story it wants to tell, maybe there was a car crash or some sort of accident because in the firste level a car was crashed and there's this idea of going out of the edge to go to the nexte level, maybe it represents someone had crashed out of the bridge (i had this idea especially with the level with the birdges in the water). Then for me there's an idea of miscarage with the level with the balloons, some balloons bursted blood because there was the shape of a foetuses in them. It was supposed to be a greate day but an accident happend and the baby didn't survive. In the end, the monster kinda looked like a women with the hair, maybe she lost the child and for some reason killed our character/someone (maybe she considers we are at fault for her loss). But i have no idea for the desert level or the blue/pink glitched level, and it's only my interpretation so i might be wrong.

This game is a cool proof of concept, but it lacks any sort of surface level to make the game-breaking part creepy - you can't buy that it's a "haunted game" when there's clearly no actual game to be haunted. I don't know, it was neat enough I guess.
