It's funny him talking about wanting to play a "domestic, advice-giving father" type part, since not long after this interview (if I have the timeline right) he did basically just that as Wilbur Turnblad in "Hairspray". Haha, looks like he got what he wanted, good for him. Go Walken! Probably the most...unique actor in Hollywood today.

Five dollars a day is barely enough money to cover the cost of your daily caloric intake. If you are "homeless" and have some sort of access to a kitchen then perhaps you can do this. Otherwise you are not fully accounting for the living benefit you receive from other's waste and surplus.
