I think that's kind of the point... with the best of intentions, drinking and behaving like an ass can get anyone around you hurt, including kids. This exact scenario happened to a friend's sister when I was a kid. Little sister consequently grew up with severe mental handicaps. Personally, I think this ad is a perfect PSA for the topic at hand.
