Awesome car, great review. Personally I don't care about the lack of heated seats, cruise control, etc. It was an economy car designed to go fast and drive well - I think it would be unreasonable to expect modern creature comforts in a 16,17 year old car of that type. Too cold? Revving to 9K RPM will get your blood pumping lol
@KiwiCarLifeАй бұрын
See I disagree because all of those features are offered in plenty of other cars from the same era, even before. It’s not an age thing, Honda just makes type r’s to serve one single purpose, and they do that well. But as a result they alienate people like me because I can buy a car that drives just as well, but with those features and a lot more power for less money

40 grand to be gapped by a stage1 golf at the lights. All these prices feel artificially inflated, so that these cars become investments.
@iamyu79312 ай бұрын
Absolutely agree with Golf being faster but it doesn't make reliable power. K20 can modded to make insane amounts of power without its internals exploding. Would love to get Golf R MK8.5 as a fun daily but probably going to keep it mostly stock because of how tight the engine tolerances are.

@The_Noticer.2 ай бұрын
@@iamyu7931 Yes. but you already spent 40 grand on the car itself. You dont think you can build the Golf engine for 40 grand with better internals? I have no invested interest in a golf, I drive a civic myself. I'm just saying, you will not have 40 grand worth of fun, unless you have some insane ability to post-purchase rationalize it to yourself. I'm just mad that all these collectors and non-car enthusiasts have swooped up all the cars, and are sitting in a garage collecting dust, waiting for prices to increase.

@@KiwiCarLife I went back and looked again. It’s actually the motor I guess it just how it sounds at full send in the higher rpm’s.
