KIWICO PANDA CRATE PLUS REVIEW: Is It Worth It for newborns to 3 year olds?

We are huge KiwiCo fans. My girls always got so much out of the crates and additional toys of theirs that we got. It would be really helpful if they would finally provide actual previews of what you get. Our third kid is due next month and I could see ourselves getting this improved line but the potential overlap bothers me. Thank you for the review, I'll probably watch this video a dozen times to make a decision 😆

Yeah I don’t think they ever will because then they may feel pressure to provide previews for all the lines and I don’t think that would work for the older lines. Just a guess! Congrats on your third!! From my research I’d expect some overlap in the 0-2 crates but totally new in 2-3 range

My twins will be two in a couple weeks. I started getting the Lovevery subscription for them since they were a yr old and will probably continue that subscription. My third is due in June. I’ve gotten used 0-12 mo Lovevery toys for her but thinking of doing the panda crate 0-24 mo subscription. Would it be worth it to do both or should I just stick with the Lovevery since she will be able to play with her older brothers toys as she grows?

Yay! Also for your 7 year old, they seemed to have taken the feedback from this video (re: starting with a specific crate/ getting a crate you want) and launched "start with this crate" but they did it super weird. Basically only some crates from each line (tons for the 7 year old, none for the 16 month old) and you can only find it via pages on their website that aren't linked anywhere on their nav so I rounded them all up here: www.theconfusedmillennial.com/kiwico-choose-a-crate/

@@confidentlymom I ordered the plus one and we got it yesterday. He likes the Play-and-go Lockbox. We also got a Slide-and-stack ring puzzle and the Let's Count! box. So far I am happy. Thanks again for the video.

Thanks for this in depth review. I just ordered the plus line for my two year old niece. I was looking at lo ever and just decided these looked similar. I a,so liked that they come every other month. Gives kids more new items. My o,der niece loves her kola crate crafts. I did not add the book. It is pricey without but the books looks sweet.

Sure but monthly it helped a bit. Especially if I was only going to order two crates. Of my sil thinks they are worth it we will do the rest of the crates. My older niece, different mom and dad, really enjoys the older kola crate line. But that focus seems to be on crafts , activities and a regular book

Do all of the items in the storefront usually come with a subscription at some point? For example, will the fractions baking kit come with the koala subscription at some point for my 4yo? I'd rather do the cheaper option instead of paying $50 for just one toy.

No! The koala crates don’t have a plus option so you won’t get that in any subscription I don’t think. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite deals form their storefront to my IG stories tomorrow with the best deals!

So if you subscribe for Panda Crate Plus and get the highest frequency delivery option (every two months???) does that cover ALL the crates in 12-18 mo range? Or is there still a possibility that you’ll miss some crates? I guess my question is how many crates are there in 12-18mo range - or in each age range for that matter - and how do you get all of them 😬

No one can say for certain, but historically (what me and people who have commented over the years) have been able to deduce: you will always get the preview crate for an age range is subscribed the full range. How we they do have more crates than months, meaning if you started a year subscription today and I had one a year ago for the same age range we would likely get 1-3 different crates through that time. They base things on inventory so it changes. For 12-18 months you’d get one crate at 12-13, one at 14-15, one at 16-17. If you’re trying to get a preview crate you have to follow their guidelines and do a 3 month subscription from13 months to 18 months. So you’d get one 13-14, one 15-16, and one 17-18. Hope that makes sense!

They only have every other month frequency so you’d get a max 6 crates a year with panda

At any one time, they have 18 crates they can send out (3 per 6 month age bracket - except that Let's Bond is always for 0-2 months) and if you subscribed from birth until your child is 3 years old you would, in theory, get them all. However, they update and change them so that the 18 they have now aren't necessarily the same they had a year ago or will have in one years' time.

I'm confused. I started my panda crate subscription. I received an email that it is shipping. But it doesn't say which kit I'm getting. Am I suppose to click on something to see it? It says "early science" In the description. But doesn't say which kit...

I’m super disappointed. I got the doctors kit in my panda crate plus. I could have bought it in their store $20 cheaper than doing the subscription.

Right but you also got the panda crate and the doctors kit which couldn’t happen $20 less. If you buy the plus items in the store alone it would be the same or cheaper than the subscription, but you get less without the actual panda crate

Ok so I jumped to conclusions lol. I saw in the subscription I was getting the doctor’s kit and I thought that’s all I was getting. It came today and yes I did get the doctor’s kit and a second box which was the little backpack and panda with the foods. So I take it back lol. It was worth it. 😅 Thanks for the reply and clarification

haha no worries! that backpack is seriously my kids FAVORITE! My 4 year old likes the play food, but my younger one who it was for couldn't care less about the food. He will just find tiny toys to put in all the pockets of that backpack for hours though! Enjoy, and don't feel bad if your little one needs to grow into some of the toys! my 4 year old definitely sets up the play with the doctors kit for my youngest lol@@bh6017
