Greetings from Wisconsin, USA. I have the 3:1 reel and I did not know about the running the wire through the black guide. I must have missed it in the directions with the reels. This will relieve a lot of headaches for me when I reel the fence up, it will keep it from wrapping around the wheel along the frame. Thanks very much, you just reduce my "swear word" count substantially😉

The wire cutters look identical to Knipex 71 31 200 cutters - are they simply rebranded? - have been using 71 31 200 Knipex cutters for sometime now - and they are excellent!
@kiwifarmernz2 ай бұрын
I think they are a copy of the knipex ones. Or they could be rebranded.

walago originated from the term will let her go
@IsambardKingdom2 ай бұрын
Now finally understand walago - but haven’t yet picked up your terms for go left , go right , gently, bark, push, move back My Aussie vocab. Is - go back, get over, steady, speak up, push up, away - usually prefixed with the dog’s name. Nor have I picked up your term used to cast the dogs around to other side of the mob - Aussie speak is usually- “get away back” with the dog always starting the cast behind you away from the sheep.

Alistair's are a bit unique, red is right, blue is left! He has whistles that are different for the heading dogs to the hubtaways as well as those commands. Go back, speak up are used as well, as commands but also whistles.

Hi Hopefully you can answer this question, Is the Can-am quad bike better than a Honda quad bike as they are more expensive to to service and purchase or is it just personal preference.
@kiwifarmernz2 ай бұрын
It all comes down to personal preference. I have had a good run with them. They are built well, with heaps of power and out dealer is only 30min away, there support is great.

Hey mate, what’s the idea with putting the ewes on and then off the crop every day? I see some just leave them on there too. Management thing?
@kiwifarmernz3 ай бұрын
Better utilization of both crop and hay/balage (so a more balanced diet), as well as being able to set up breaks for multiple days .
@colinwientjens18713 ай бұрын
@@kiwifarmernz 👍👍 does it work better/worse if it’s wet too? Iam trying to nut out how to incorporate a winter crop practically.
@kiwifarmernz3 ай бұрын
@@colinwientjens1871 I like having a runoff paddock when it's wet. It's better for the stock health.
