Happy 37th birthday to Harry James Potter, my favourite, ever. I'm sure I never realised how much he meant to me until I started video editing - maybe not even then. It just happened without me being aware of it and it seemed so obvious I didn't even know that he was helping me through hell of a lot at school, and everywhere else, as a teenager, as a child, opening the first doors of my imagination, that boy with a scar who left one on me - my hero.
His impact is ro real and so full of meaning.

This video; I am so proud of it! It's not entirely perfect, but the tone and atmosphere I've managed to bring out here is exactly what I had in mind, so I'm very satisfied with the final cut.
I love to make these complex videos when it's more than just what comes straight ahead.
Harry's struggle is so complex, it's more than moral and just physical, it's magical too; how he keeps struggling with his own magic and the one from Voldemort's fragment inside him.
I reckon I understood why and how much I really cared and enjoyed Credence's character so much in FB while I was making that video. Credence is what Harry could have easily become. There's this whole parallel between Grindelwald and Dumbledore, and Credence and Harry; it had come to my attention right after I first watched FB, all the things we've learnt with the obscurus, it made me feel even closer to Harry, if that's even possible. Harry's so strong, he's been through hell and back, without hesitation. He's so much more than just a symbol or an eponymous character to me, he's this strength and courage, this feeling that we all need that keeps us going.
Deaf explosion - it ends before it begins, or before it ends, depending on how you choose to look at it.
In a way, this is more than just about Harry; the atmosphere, the harpsichord, it's also about the feeling beyond the footage.
Maybe there's also this feeling of repression, the large black bands, breaking the mirror...; and it's funny how this initially was a harmony video, they always help, and I reckon you can still see it if you're careful enough.
I want to dedicate this to Sumaya as well, because she inspires me to see deeper into things, and even deeper into my own self at times, which is pretty incredible.. and a little scary. Also because she once told me that my HJP videos made her appreciate him more, and I know there are some hints in this video that she's going to love for sure. or she's just going to die. probably both. gnehehe

I feel so many things right now that I'm not sure I'll be able to put them all down here coherently. Your videos have always gone beyond surface level and you always managed to drag up some emotions with your work but this feels like you reached inside the pages of all 7 Harry Potter books and managed to bring back Harry's heart with you. And it's your heart, too - I think I understand you a little better each time I finish watching one of your videos. I just.. I am in awe of you, Lucie. I know I'm always speechless when I just watched your videos.. but now I feel like that's not even enough to describe what I'm feeling right now. This is insane. I truly don't know what words would be enough to describe this feeling it's giving me. The way you handled this is just so deep and it has this very eerie tone, that's perfect for Harry. And the way you added Credence is just exceptionally brilliant. The way you edit with Harry here... It's like he's in your mind and spirit and he guided you through this? I don't know what it was but it was mindblowing. I don't think anyone will ever make a video as good as this in my opinion. When I saw your end screen with the credits and stuff goosebumps were crawling over my body. I can't even fangirl over this and THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING. It's literally art. I feel like you threw a lot of you in here and people who don't know you will assume it's all Harry, which only confirms your connection with him. The beginning sets the tone and the ending was like a bomb that is waiting to go off? I don't know but it's like it fades out before it goes off, you know, how they do it in movies sometimes? Seconds before the explosion. Aargh and jacaszek.. I am flabbergasted. I cannot tell you how artistic, poetic and absolutely gorgeous this video is. It has a voice on its own which is something I don't see very often. I can learn a lot from you. This is so inspiring and so melancholic. I'm.. agh. This is amazing. JK Rowling would be so proud since this is the best portrayal of Harry you ever made in my opinion.

You're brilliant Lucie, truly! I'll never be able to edit something this amazing and I'm... okay with it? It's so unique that I don't even feel the need of becoming this good in video editing. Does that make any sense? Idk I just can feel it how much you've spent time editing every single one of your videos. And how much you've worked to achieve this level. I'm not ready myself to do such work and maybe that's why I can watch this video without getting any feelings of jealousy. I'm satisfied that I can watch this kind of art. No words can describe its beauty. Its own kind of beauty that fits Harry perfectly. And don't be worried that you discouraged me with editing because you didn't.
