Another reason Blake Lively’s story does not ring true is because she was in a position of power the whole time. She was not an unknown actress trying to make her way in the world. Does anyone believe she felt intimidated by Justin? She was bossing him around on set! Her real personality was on show during the promotion of the movie. When she started going viral for being rude and obnoxious, she (and Ryan) thought they could take the heat off of Blake by using the SA card.
@joelamosesКүн бұрын
Yeah. You are probably right about that. It's sad that Ryan had something to do with pulling an SA card on Justin. SA allegations should be a no go zone unless it's true and Ryan should not have went along with that, being a man and is in danger of being accused simply because he is a man snd has money. @anisoniarukeme46555 минут бұрын
I understand you’re not defending BL but I just want to point out that just because Justin isn’t as popular as BL doesn’t mean he’s “new”to acting. She forced him to adhere to her wants even though he is the director and owns the rights to the movie. All bc she has power in Hollywood & is a B list Actress married to an A list Actor, who feels like she can bully a perhaps D list Actor with her A list celebrity musician friend by her side. It was a bully tactic & a power trip, nothing more nothing less in my opinion. Her “help” was not asked for. She pushed it on him and he was trying to be nice. If Anything she will only turn this once D list Actor to an A list celebrity as he will only gain popularity from all this press. The reason why we say believe all women (generally) when it comes to SA or SH, is bc they tend to be involved in instances where there is a power imbalance between them and the man in question, whether physically or monetarily and/or if related to work, then ranking (ie boss vs employee). In this case BL has most of this power imbalance to her advantage, if not all of the power. So it’s actually quite flipped around. Except he is technically her boss but as we’ve all seen, she directed and took charge, with her husband in rewriting a lot of the script

Wow! That is sad if it's true. I would love to read/hear where you found that information. I could see that as a possibility. I know everyone is putting Ryan under the bus for Blakes actions but also wonder if he has fallen victim to her manipulative ways as well. Just a thought. I'm saying this because I've witnessed some men totally change who they are once they get with a woman, and I don't mean in a good way.

@@katkay7 I think him being thrown under the bus is a crisis management tactic. His net worth is in the hundreds of millions. He does not need movies or movie money anymore. By him trying to take all the blame I think they're trying to salvage her career. It removes all her agency as an adult capable of making her own decisions. It doesn't relieve her of the responsibility of making unsubstantiated SH claims and trying to destroy a man's life/career and then trying to gag him when he defended himself. She brags about using Ryan and Taylor as her 'dragons/monsters' to go to bat for her or go after people -- that is straight up Machiavellian and manipulative. She is no wallflower. I think that BL/RR engineered the whole thing together. I do think they conned Colleen Hoover into the idea that they would be better to produce the second book/movie. I believe that's why she deleted her IG because she's afraid of her DMs coming to light. (my opinions/allegedly)

Why would she give examples as evidence for her claims that do not show sexual improprieties? She thought he wouldn’t be able to disprove her claims for those specific situations. She has not accused him of wrongdoing in other circumstances. People have to stop saying that maybe he acted creepy in a sexual way at other times. Which is so distasteful - naming your alcohol company after (or the same name as) not just an important, but the most important figure in reducing the stigma associated with alcoholism due to her public disclosure of her own struggles with addiction and her subsequent founding of the Betty Ford Center, which significantly increased awareness, accessibility to treatment for alcohol abuse, particularly among women. A fact that may be lost on a lot of Americans but the fact that there is no other woman who has done more than the former first lady and had more of an impact re alcoholism (this cannot be understated) in history and there are literally a million other names that could’ve been chosen I can’t help but think this wasn’t just a clever marketing ploy and not just a coincidence, regardless of whether it’s the name of her daughter or not, there’s no way a professional marketing team worth their muster would not have caught that. I believe the reason Blake is doubling down is to save her marriage, not just her reputation. As usual, she caught feelings for her co-star, which she has a track record of doing (it's how she met Ryan in the first place), and when she was spurned and Ryan caught on, she made up this story to defend her actions. What does the slow dance scene convey: 1) She was out of character a lot 2) She was trying to direct the director 3) She was annoyed not getting her way 4) She enjoyed some moments for sure 5) She is awkward at times All this being said we cannot conclusively say this is an example of sexual harassment as they were supposed to be in character. The scene was described as them dancing in a bar being in a world of their own. The word romantic was not used but implied. I did hear Justin say he would be leaning in almost kissing her lips. It was like a coy cat mouse game going on. Just because Blake alleges that there was no plan and it was all improvised does not mean that is entirely true, as Justin was explaining as they were filming. We saw that with our own eyes. She was agreeable. If at any time she was truly uncomfortable or wanted to tap out she had that autonomy. Even though Justin was her “boss” and the “director” as her lawyers pointed out, it was not the typical subordinate and insubordinate dynamic power play at work here. We all know that now. Blake was inserting her say in EVERY aspect of the process and Justin would have respected her boundaries if she laid them out. She is just as culpable to not discuss the scene beforehand if there were any misunderstanding. At least by the second take she could have paused not feeling comfortable. If anything this is entrapment and like a bait and switch. Literally at one point after he rubs his thumb on her bottom lip she tilts her head positioning her mouth towards him embracing for a kiss, not him….her! Using a scene believed to have no sound to paint an entirely different picture of what was happening is extremely manipulative.

He is spot on. The problem for her and RR, but especially her, is this has gone on for too long and has gotten so bad for them, that no one would believe an apology at this point. Most would just see it as something they felt they absolutely had to do to mitigate further damage to their reputation. It would be nearly impossible to successfully sell sincerity, especially now. It would never happen anyway. Not in them.

Blake uses “humor” to say mean things. I think it’s a pretty common technique for some people.

Ulyses is really intelligent and really hit the nail on the head. I really like how he thinks and 100% agree with his analysis

I don’t know if Reynolds was the “master mind”. I think he gets worked by his wife, and believes her versions of events. He might be the key player in trying to organize sabotaging Baldoni though. He might be the mastermind just in that sense, because he has so many connections.

Most definitely, although i will say I believe the idea/overall plan to take over the movie to get the rights to the sequel is either his or both of them, there is too much similarity between what has happened on Ryan’s movies. Ryan is presumably better at it, where as she has made an absolute mess of it. She thinks she is teflon and decided to play the victim card, unfortunately for her she is overly entitled, can’t act, and she has a well deserved rep as a mean girl. Her career is hopefully is over (why people keep referring to her as an a lister I don’t know), his will take a major hit…the result will depend on just how far he lets this go and what comes out in the mud flinging.

I’m invested in this whole ordeal….and I’m invested hearing Kjersti bringing the latest update. She is hitting all the right talking points about the case. The lady goes far and beyond the headlines. She does the psychology of it all and I love that!

When Blake first filed her lawsuit, I felt I could not be Team Justin; the accusations sounded horrible. But after I saw the actual video, I was struck by the discrepancies between what Blake said versus what actually happened. I have to concede: Justin looks innocent. The interpretation most charitable toward Blake is that she had a paranoid misinterpretation of what Justin said and did.
