Thank for your exellent work. Started following the channel a few weeks ago, being from Finland it is hard to understand that Americans worship actors:they are "just" actors, not doing anything "that" important really or what do I know. Their EGOs are huge. Blake is obviously spoiled since a kid - that pumped ego without special talent and kid does know that if she is praised without good reason, that parenting style makes narcissism bloom sadly. Blake seems very insecure and envious.

Here is my take - from the looks of it and what has come out so far - Blake and her husband literally tried to destroy another person's career by portraying him to be a predator. This would have not only destroyed his career, it would have destroyed his marriage, his kids life. His life would have been OVER. He is lucky in that he had 1) courage to fight back, 2) intelligence to keep the receipts and foresee this 3) powerful resources in the form of his producer partner who is a billionaire Had he been a small time independent film maker - it would have been over. So it does not sit well with me that Blake and her husband are allowed to get away with all this whilst trying to destroy someone's life coz that is pure evil. There is no room for forgiveness here.

I met Justin Baldoni once, I had no idea who he was. He was shopping for his house, checking some tiles . He would just walk around with us, move the tile samples around, because he thought they are a little heavy for us girls to carry around. He was even helping our warehouse crew to load his orders up into his truck. Never for a moment you would think this man is a TV start or some kind of celebrity. She shared details of how Blake was quite a troublesome and difficult on set.

Long one here! This is what I think happened. She had creative differences with Justin as he wanted to make a more artistic film that would support DV victims but she wanted to make a romcom to showcase herself as fashionista, market her products and tie-in with Deadpool. She also was competing with her costar in A Simple Favour, Anna Kendrick, who was starring in a DV movie (Alice, Darling) and starring in her directorial debut (Woman of the Hour), as both had just signed to do Simple Favour 2. Before filming, Blake refuses to read book or meet with intimacy coordinator or No More (DV organization Justin is consulting with). She took over the costuming of IEWU, firing the designer, and started trying to direct the scenes at start of filming. Justin went along because of wanting to listen to women and for the film to have a female gaze so she saw him as an easy mark. Online criticism of her outfits concerned Sony and they told Justin to address it with Blake. Blake took this as a narcissistic wound and (according to crew reports) started losing interest in the film, acting like she didn't want to be on set. She demanded that they change her character so her costume choices (too expensive etc) would make sense and so the script was changed. She was insecure about her postpartum body but Justin reassured and was supportive of her over texts. But he did need to know her weight to train for the lift scene and get the right stunt double and knew asking her would upset her. So he asked their mutual trainer, who then unprofessionally told Blake. Another narcissistic wound. During the strikes, she stewed and started exaggerating and inventing complaints to smear Justin. Ryan tried to buy the rights of the sequel from Justin but he refused. Ryan rewrites the rooftop scene to make it more romcom. They hear that Justin just signed Scarlet Johannson (Ryan's ex-wife who he was with when he met Blake) for her directorial debut. Both Ryan and Blake are competitive and really love money and marketing. Why do Anna and Scarlet get to direct and Blake doesn't? We need this film to be a big hit commercially to team with Deadpool, sell our products, and be more successful than Scarlet, show her Blake is better than her. But this Justin guy is making it all earnest and do-gooder, which doesn't sell. They think about how Ryan was able to take over Deadpool from its first director. Ryan is also jealous of Justin's good looks and nice guy reputation. Both Blake & Ryan look down on him though as his earnestness, emotional openness, and good values are threatening to their narcissism and defence systems of image, snarky humour, focus on wealth and fame. They want the franchise for Blake and want to flex on Justin, and compete with Scarlet and Anna. Strike over, Blake refuses to return to set and calls a meeting at her penthouse. Ryan goes on a tirade against Justin for fat-shaming and they present 17 demands, all as celebrity friends walk in and out, like Taylor Swift. Justin etc are completely blindsided. Most of these demands were already in place (like intimacy coordinator). They didn't do any of the things they are being accused of. But the crew has been out of work during the strikes, Sony wouldn't pay for re-casting the lead now, people's livelihoods and millions are on the line. They agree to the terms but not the accusations. Now, every time Blake doesn't get what she wants, Justin knows she will falsely accuse him of things that would cancel him and refuse to work, torpedoing the whole film and his career. She keeps misinterpreting their scenes together to threaten smearing him and he says he's not even attracted to her, another narcissistic wound. She gradually takes full control and starts triangulating the cast, smearing Justin and promising the first boyfriend actor roles in Simple Favour 2 and Batman, giving the young Lily actor couture clothes, love-bombing Jenny Slate. When Justin doesn't love the rooftop scene rewrite that she pretends she wrote, she has Ryan and Taylor load on and he caves. Everything is going her way until she wedges her way into the editing, fires the editors and puts in Ryan's editors to make her own cut. Her agreement with Sony is that only if her cut scores higher with test audiences will it be released. She puts together a her-friends and family screening, cutting out Justin/Wayfarer altogether, to skew feedback in her favour. Still, overall, the audiences score his take higher. So she refuses to promote the film unless her cut is released. Sony caves, though secretly having her editors put back much of his cut because she has made the film completely focused on her, losing key components of the story. Justin takes the high road, putting ego aside, as long as it will still support DV survivors, whatever. She has him banned from the premiere altogether, only caving to allow him to wait in the basement while she and Ryan and Wolverine do the red carpet, and then his side (including the production company) can watch in a separate, empty theatre, and can't go to the after party they pay for. This is his first time, as director, seeing final cut. The film is a hit, largely as there is already a huge fan base for the book. But many fans have issues with it not being as close to the book and not truly reflecting DV experience. Then Blake is tone-deaf on the promo tour: dismissive of DV survivors, should I give them my cell number?, wear your florals, my Louboutons!, drink my booze product cocktail named after the abuser in the film. Whereas Justin keeps the focus on DV survivors, directing them to resources like No More, praising Blake the whole time and how much she did beyond acting. Huge backlash against Blake, big narcissistic wound. And Ryan still doesn't have the rights to the franchise. So false accusations to: 1) get the rights through the morality clause, 2) deflect public criticism, 3) shift blame to Justin, 4) cancelling Justin = tanking Wayfarer = messing up Scarlet's directorial debut. It wasn't that she caught feelings or Ryan was jealous of Justin. They look down on him as a do-gooder sensitive wimp who will never be as rich and famous as them. It was all about power, ego and money. Most of all, ego. Ryan's creation of the Nicepool character, mocking his feminism and niceness, calling for an intimacy coordinator, having Ladypool kill him in front of a flower shop, is psychologically interesting. It is so like the quarterback and the cheerleader bullying the art student, revealing immaturity, insecurity, narcissism and arrogance. Think of Justin's depth, comfort with intimacy, maturity, etc. in comments like how he and his wife can stare into each others' eyes silently, some of their most beautiful moments where when only she had O, etc. And Blake's responses: she'd be mortified if intimacy was focused just on her pleasure, it's sociopathic to stare into a lover's eyes, she and Ryan talk all the time and it's more than cute. Who Justin is held up a threatening mirror to this couple, showing how shallow, egoistic, materialistic, how ultimately un-evolved, they are, and for that too he needed to be destroyed. Blake seems a full-on narcissist with a long track record of bullying and entitlement and self-regard. But I think Ryan is smarter, more self-aware, has become more entitled and narcissistic with fame, but is essentially insecure, and has a need, with his businesses too, to prove himself constantly. His humour hits because it doesn't just attack others, it also exposes his vulnerabilities, and shows genuine empathy at times, which a true narcissist can't do. Hard to say who was the main driver of this campaign.But I hope this exposure will lead to justice for Justin, disempowerment and invisibility for Blake, and real soul-searching for Ryan.

Superiority complexes can stem from a deep insecurity though. They feel insecure deep down inside, hence they have to keep reinforcing to themselves and others that they are superior over other people. If you aren’t insecure, and you were truly confident in yourself, you’d find no need to keep exerting superiority or dominance over others. It’s like how bullies are insecure people at their core, hence why they need to belittle or abuse others to feel better about themselves. No one who is secure about thenselves would act in such ways

It doesn’t matter if she’s uncomfortable. There could be 1 million reasons for that. What matters is, did Justin do anything inappropriate? And from the looks of it, NO.
@tarotherbologycrystals35655 сағат бұрын
If she's uncomfortable it's because she is a narcissist and narcissists are repulsed by 'nice' people, they equate 'niceness' for weakness. Her distaste for Justin is what bleeds through in this scene along with her frustration that he is not instantly deferring to her direction. She knows full well Justin is just acting in line with his character Ryle.

I find it flabbergasting that people don’t look at Nicepool from a deeper perspective. They think Nicepool is just one of his stupid jokes - nothing to see here…. They couldn’t be more wrong. Creating Nicepool wasn’t just an act of jealousy; it was a glimpse into Ryan’s darker nature, and it revealed how dangerous his obsession with control really is. By crafting this character as a tool for manipulation and mockery, Ryan crossed a line that shouldn’t be ignored. Nicepool isn’t just a fictional creation; he’s a symptom of Ryan’s unhealthy fixation, a dangerous manifestation of his need to destroy anyone who threatens his fragile ego. It’s not just about the rivalry between him and Justin-it’s about the lengths Ryan is willing to go to for dominance. Allowing this behavior to slide would send the message that such manipulation and cruelty can go unchecked, but it should be clear: Ryan’s actions are a direct threat to everyone around him, and he should be held accountable before his unchecked jealousy spirals even further.

Every character in that movie is great except for Blake Lively. And I think the original screenplay was a lot better than the one that ended up with. Ryan Reynolds took out the romantic lift and all the intimate scenes. There was supposed to be a very intimate scene where Lilly and Ryle made love. GOT NIXED. And actually the movie needed more of that to demonstrate the STRUGGLE she had between staying and leaving. That was supposed to be a major dynamic in the movie. Baldoni wanted people to understand the dynamics of DV. It totally disappeared when they took out all the romantic scenes

I suggest Ryan and Blake putting together a public apology as well as a public statement of their respect for Justin as a director and actor. Justin was very careful to say respectful things about Blake while promoting the movie. His lawsuit is the only form of "negative" publicity for the Reynolds but the man has to defend himself. Blake started her lawsuit and it's only fair that Justin fights it with his own. If he wins, this will be a HUGE turning point for Hollywood.

"Will she work again" was a good question. The issue is that every director and producer now know that she locked Baldoni out of his own editing room, in addition to taking control of the premiere, script writing, directing and wardrobe etc etc. The question is, can a producer/director risk this happening to him/her in the future? I would think not, especially if this goes to court and it's all proven without a doubt. In fact, this situation will make other productions companies rethink how they approach making a film and ensure contracts are iron clad.

The Blake Lively versus Justin Baldoni case deserves an impartial documentary. There are so many layers for us, as a society, to reflect on Hollywood. Beyond the obvious issues of fame and power, it's important to examine the role of the media in constructing and deconstructing narratives, the impact of social media on public perceptions, and the dynamics of gender and race that permeate the entertainment industry. Additionally, it would be relevant to explore how the behind-the-scenes of Hollywood affect celebrities' personal lives and how these situations are managed legally and emotionally. The constant pressure for success and public exposure can have profound and lasting consequences. This documentary could also serve as a platform to discuss necessary changes in the industry, promoting a fairer and healthier environment for everyone involved. Greetings from Brazil! 🌞🇧🇷

@Sound7heWarCry I’ve been following Dave Neal for over a year now, and I’ve found him to be fair, balanced, and to care about the truth. It’s easy to discredit people by saying they are being paid to say or not say something, but this is a simpleminded and unfair way of silencing people we don’t like or people who say things we don’t like. This critique of Dave simply doesn’t make sense. He’s been consistently critical of Blake and Ryan, but has also asked for people to wait for evidence before they draw any real conclusions. I appreciate the way he comes up with different reasons to explain Blake’s actions, for example. It’s silly and anti-investigative (not to mention anti-truth) to let a hatred for what Blake has allegedly done (it’s clearly not looking good for her, of course) to cloud our judgement of everything we see her do or say. We have to try and remain logical and fair. If Dave were being manipulated to protect Blake, it would’t make any sense to make fun of her or call out her bullshit. In addition, Dave was one of the first people to cover former Bachelor Clayton Echard’s paternity case where Laura Owens has since been found to have lied and scammed Echard and other men in a variety of ways to get them to date her. She is incredibly litigious and goes after her victims and people who speak out against her with lawsuits, threats of lawsuits, and restraining orders/orders of protection. Dave was sued (Laura dropped it right before court) and then threatened to be sued again by Laura’s lawyer if he didn’t shut up. He kept reporting on the story and telling the truth despite the fact that he had to hire a lawyer and spend a decent chunk of money gearing up to fight their constant lawsuit threats. It was pretty scary for him and his family at the time, but he didn’t let that stop him from telling the truth. * Comment edited to include the handle of person I replied to. Plenty of women suffer from postpartum anxiety and did so without intentionally trying to smear and destroy a coworker and their entire family and career. No writing it off to this because interviews of her entire history are popping up showing she has a reputation of being cruel and petty. This has nothing to do with her having had a baby. She's always behaved this horribly towards others. This is *not* an isolated incident.

I dont know if you remember when Ryan was interviewing hugh Jackman on the Jimmy kimmel show last year in July. Hugh started talking about the death of his father and was pretty emotional Then Ryan all of the sudden got a call from Blake; rather than ignore that call, he answerd it and Ryan was joking how he and Blake lively call each other bluh bluh bluh after the call make a jokes. Then Ryan asked Hugh to carry on with the conversation, but Hugh looked irritated by the situation. That really sat with me about how insensitive Ryan is

Yeah l remember that l had to turn it off... I think it was a bit but it was a really horrible "joke" as HJ dad really did die and it was typical Reynolds trying to get the last word (laugh) RR thinks he's so edgy but he's just cringe / try hard

Im just waiting for Ryan and Blake to turn on each other. She can say, he's controlling and I did all this because he was jealous. Or He can say, she lied to me the whole time. Just waiting who will make the first move

Precisely how people get out of whack egos; all the "don't talk to the talent" "Make sure the talent has what they need" & as he said, "we're inviting so & so to set" It's so unbalanced & so silly. On a lighter note, looks like that Blake Lively interview was the most lucrative blessing in disguise that the interviewer could've ever hoped for. A thank you note to the spoiled actress might be in order when the bones have been picked so far down that there's not even dust left. I think we're nearing that.

Seeing the dance scene, my gut instinct was that she was intimidated by Justin's presence. She was daunted by the intimacy because she's not good at vulnerability, which is actually his wheelhouse. He is a great actor, but he was being very professional here having patience with her nervous chatter and giggling. She actually seemed attracted to him and it was freaking her out. My guess is that when Ryan saw the dailies he could feel that attraction, and their texts further threatened him.
@Hummingbird2518 сағат бұрын
I completely agree. If she made a public apology and genuinely took back what she said I think people would be more willing to let it go. And Justin cares more about the truth then money

@WilliamsPinch17 сағат бұрын
Right if she did that, she would have to pay for the money he’s lost. And Blake’s pride couldn’t survive a genuine apology lol
@TheBoogalusa17 сағат бұрын
but Bryan Freedman may want that $400 million.
@gayavardan17 сағат бұрын
Nah! They all need to pay. The guy has lost many lucrative projects and representation of his management company. He suffered huge financial losses and probably his shot at Hollywood fame. That industry doesn’t like potentially problematic people and whether he is guilty or not he already has the stamp on him due to this conflict. So, yeah, he should be payed the 400 million at all costs.

In order to preserve what’s left of her career I absolutely agree w/ Dave that it’s in BL’s best interest to accept ownership of the blame, publicly apologize to JB & pay him a decent settlement PLUS attorneys’ fees. We all know she’s too self-absorbed to do anything of the kind and she’ll keep on telling us not to believe our lying ears & lying ears. A perfect excuse for Blake is to blame it on her post-partum depression.

@elisedemerveilles306516 сағат бұрын
No, Justin Baldoni should decide what’s best for him. And I think his lawyer will agree with him when he decides that. Baldoni has a family, and I don’t think he’s gonna put them through a circus just for retaliation. There’s nothing in this world he values more than his family and he’s going to put them first. Not his ego. He’s not Ryan Reynolds. And I think his lawyer will agree with him. I know we would all like to see Ryan Reynolds buried in the rubble. It’s certainly what he deserves. But what I really wanna see is for Justin and his family to get back to normal, and I want his career to be everything he dreamed it would be.

BL (and Ryan) can go on an apology tour if it truly is a soul-searching self-reflecting apology. But it means nothing if it's still at another persons expense. ie. Justin has to meet her in the middle and get 10 mil out of the deal. Screw that! That would basically be paying him off to keep him quiet. She may benefit from that to restore her image but it won't help him. Too many people are asking how she can save herself now, ignoring where any of that leaves him.

Lady Colin Campbell on her KZbin channel said that Baldoni’s lawyer is known to not take cases unless he feels it’s close to airtight in his client’s favor. She has connections everywhere. You might want to do a legal segment including the reputations of the involved lawyers of both.

I heard that Martha Stewart interviewed Blake & also complimented her bump & Blake had a completely welcoming response which just goes to show what type of person Blake is & responded that way bc she has something to gain from Martha Stewart. I also think that Candace Owen’s is a really good journalist & she wouldn’t be saying anything if she wasn’t on to something. However, I don’t think that makes Blake innocent just bc Ryan is not a good guy. I think that when you’re in a toxic relationship, you can become who you surround yourself with & she’s allowing for all this to happen. & I definitely think it looked like she was flirting w Justin & liked him in that clip I watched of them.

Jane the Virgin was one of my favorite shows. I love Gina Rodriguez, she’s such a great actress with a lot of range. Justin was a douche in there 😂 I didn’t want Jane to marry Rafael. That show was dominated by women and not a single one has anything negative to say about Justin and they all still follow him. That says a lot.

My understanding is Blake Lively insisted they talk during a scene that she believed had no sound recorded. Was she setting him up knowing she could allege he was being inappropriate and he'd have no way to defend himself??? If talking during the scene was so important to her, why didn't she mention it ahead of time??? Was it because she didn't want any evidence that she was the one who wanted the talking???
@JudiL-f4v12 сағат бұрын
If she was supposedly having postpartum depression during filming, what’s her excuse for suing JB now? Still postpartum? Sorry, not buying it. We should not be throwing scapegoat excuses her way. Even if Ryan is involved, so is she. There is NO excuse for bullying behavior, and it’s time to make them an example of what will not be tolerated. Team Justin!

RR and BL's peers are watching this avoidable fiasco and how ruthless they've behaved. Her specific SH claims can have a chilling effect on sets. Does every innocuous interaction have to be choreographed down to a glance. The footage and audio refute her narrative. She and Ryan are seen as pariahs by the industry, as they should be.
@sharonalbanese808410 сағат бұрын
What an interesting interview! Thank you both so much. I agree totally what Dave said at the end about BL's insecurity. Let's face it, I'm sure all well known actresses are looking over their shoulder at the next younger version of themselves. So much pressure... no wonder they are all paranoid. It's a toxic industry. ❤❤
