I should start a new YT account every rewatch of this serie, so I could like it once more.

Very good, I really liked the design, I am passionate about this type of vehicle and I have three, in three different sizes, I have some videos of them. Congratulations for your work.

I love it with the 1.6 in there, sounds so unique.

@@KJRaycing This 1.6 engine is very famous in our country and in others it must also be, it is an engine developed by VW / AUDI and is called here AP (High Performance), used even in Golf and A3. The sound is aided by the scaled 4x1 competition exhaust.

@KJ Racing do you do anything to address the opened ended tubes at final weld up? So you plug the hole
@KJRaycing
@KJRaycing Жыл бұрын
Those holes are used for the hooking protection/nerf bars 👍

It looks like you had the same problem I'm having now with J-12, J-13 and J-15 where C-1 won't sit flat on top of J-15. Did you just cut J-12 and J-13 shorter so they didn't get in the way?

I just trimmed the notches a little until it fit. I used a spare piece of 1.5” to make sure everything was squared up.

Been watching for a long time and starting my own build this fall. My question is how much does that tubing weigh per foot? Thanks!

I hope you can use my techniques in your build; I’m guessing you are trying to rebuild this design in CAD, but if you can’t find something as simple as the weight per foot of the tube you are using you may struggle a bit. Designing these things are all about research and finding solutions. 1.426 lbs for the 1.5” and 1.172 lbs for the 1.25”. There are plans available if you want to save a ton of time and money like so many others have.

wanting to start another build , do you have sources for CV axle spool , axles ?

I use polaris outlaw 500 or 525 stuff. Marketplace, craigslist and ebay is a good place to look. The best way to do it is get a used polaris outlaw 525 bike and use all the parts.

What Lincoln electric welder do you have back there?

140hd mig. It’s all essentially thin wall so it does the job just fine 😁

@@KJRaycing Is it hard to use? I have no experience with that but with TIG and the teacher told me (speaking of a rollcage) to go with TIG for "aesthetics of the welds more than heat control" but that thing u use just looks way more practical, you're not welding exhausts yet... D'you think I could start use MIG with only little experience in TIG?

Check out the other videos on the channel. There is a plans overview that gives info on what material and how much you’ll need. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4CzinaIjciHn9U Short answer; 1.5 for main pieces, 1.25 for crossmembers and 1” for rear a-arms (can be 1.25 if you don’t want to buy and extra die).

I watched all your movies and follow the group on Facebook, unfortunately I am from another country (Poland) and unfortunately I do not understand most of your words, I only watch what I can see because your buggies are probably the best;)
