GG gets all the limelight and deservedly so because GG has become synonymous to KKR and the franchise’s success and the whole city of Kolkata. Head coach Chandrakant Pandit, Bowling coach Bharath Arun and Assistant coach Abhishek Nayar don't get the limelight but they deserve a big shout-out from everyone because they've scouted and formed the Indian core group of players and to win the IPL you need a strong Indian core. All the Indian players (experienced international Indians or uncapped young Indians) have stepped up at the crucial moments and contributed. Last year's captain Nitish Rana played only few matches towards the end of this IPL due to injury and he performed for the team. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi stepped in to replace Nitish Rana and he delivered big time. Varun Chakravarthy was back to his best this season. 2 young Indian pacers Vaibhav Arora (in the powerplay) and Harshit Rana (in the death overs) produced big wickets. Venkatesh Iyer’s best batting season since the 2021 edition of IPL and he was a big part of the jigsaw/a big cog in the wheel for KKR's successful campaign. Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy is underrated. He is a very good, smart captain. He is a better captain than Hardik Pandya IMO. His batting wasn't even required that much because of the successful campaign from KKR's top 4 batters Salt, Narine, Venky Iyer and Angkrish but whenever team needed him Shreyas delivered with the bat. Ramandeep Singh was outstanding in the field taking unbelievable catches and scored quite a few impactful cameos coming to bat at no. 7/8 so he deserves a lot of praise. Even the veteran Manish Pandey who played only 1 match this whole tournament (the match against MI) did wonderful and played a vital inning to help KKR win a match against MI at Wankhede after 12 years. Your international foreign players put the icing on the cake and step up on big occasions like Starc did but your domestic Indian players bake the cake throughout the 2 months of IPL so the people who recognises the Indian young talents and back them alongside reassures, manages the experienced Indian players and creates a happy dressing room environment deserves applauds. So kudos to Mr. Pandit, Mr. Arun and Mr. Nayar for all their hardwork behind the curtains 👏🏼 Congratulations to all the KKR fans all over the world. Coz Starc's performance before knockouts could've been lethal to KKR, had they not won games. 4 overs for 50+ every game with no wickets. Starc's performance came when the pitches had slowed down considerably and it was too humid, so it supported swing. Starc is a lucky brat. He's a good bowler that's it.

everybody just considers batter dominated games to be good games. kkr's bowlers dominated srh's batters, while srh's bowlers couldnt even bother the kkr a bit. this was a tough contest between the bowlers of both sides. low scoring game means the bowlers bowled real well. in that respect, it was one helluva game.

To be honest, Head and Abhishek have been really good batsmen but they aren't the best batsmen in the world. Starc is a world class bowler probably in the top 3. He was always winning that battle vs batsmen. The ball to get abhishek was orgasmic.
