Especially that stumping by Sanju vs Traves Head. National teams are independent bodies, non profitable ones. We have seen the manager, coach, top management authorities questioning the captain and players on performance. After all, the IPL teams are bought and conducted by corporates, and, manage teams on profit and popularity basis. What is wrong on the top management asking the captain on the performance ? Who is liable to answer - player or management ? Who is accountable - player or management ? If anything lacks in administration, will the captain and players not admonish the management ? For me, there is nothing wrong in this event. After all K L Rahul is liable.

For a person of his stature, Goenka should have refrained from holding such a meeting in public even if KL did not do the captainship well. Goenka himself has to be blamed for this entire debacle by placing KL at the helm as a captain, knowing pretty well that KL has not been a capable Indian captain, particularly after injuries. Yes, he can say he gave him a chance, and yes, KL fumbled. He is only human and cricket is such a sport. You are very good one day and the other day you stay at the bottom. Life still goes on, and Goenka should enjoy the spirit of it rather than throwing his weight around.

With all due respect to KL Rahul , who is a classical batsman in the mould of Rahul Dravid- is not cut out for T20. He is hesitant in scoring and that mind set is not for T20. Let me explain. T20 is 120 balls, and the way teams are scoring in excess of 220, any one scoring at 100 strike rate is a liability. KL should stick to Test matches and at the most play for 50 over matches , but in my opinion he should not be playing T20s - definitely for Team India. T20 needs devil may care attitude, you win some you lose some, playing defense , eating away the balls is unacceptable.
