Despite the Dave East clip screamin Naybahood, we aren’t Naybahood. 30s run with the Rollin car. I was born in Pittsburgh, and Wiz is from a section called Hazelwood. The set by him was Flowers Ave…been Crippin since 1990. He wasn’t a banger though. He was just affiliated due to where he lived and was a solid ass youngsta. Lastly, the Woo is just a mix of Crips and Bloods. GDs are wit the Blixkys.

I would say that major crop influence was really heavy in the 90’s and led thru early 2000’s. But westside connection really set it off in the late 90’s. And as for Sugafree you just had to listen to Street Gospel. He repped Pomona 357 clearly. Before Nipsey nobody was wearing Crenshaw gear unless they went to that school. Nowadays everybody wearing it

I'mma tell you the truth I'm from louisiana. you can look up a lot of the OG Crips family from the south especially Louisiana. I picked up Crippen in 91 from OG that got kicked out of California he came back to live with his grandfather
@scaleshenry
@scaleshenry 10 ай бұрын
Man the truth is the Crips had better marketing, not on purpose, but from the Robert Boule and the leather coat on down to the death row story of Big Tookie. You can easily name 5 people that well known Crips, Tookie, Raymond Washington, Snoop dogg, Monsta Kody, and Nip the Crip aka Nipsey Hussle. Its just marketing, the Crips had the marketing lead from the 70's onward from newspaper stories down to entertainment. Actually to be honest I really think the New York Bloods aka 9 trey put the bloodism on a mainstream level. From there it took off imo. Anyone begs to differ?

@scaleshenry
@scaleshenry 10 ай бұрын
@@WavyHippie420I am not disagreeing yea lil Wayne made it hot but how many people can say what set lil Wayne from? Yea Suge Knight gave the red team more exposure but that whole 9 trey blood set had that motion. Think of this you naming bloods but when we speak of these Crips most people know their sets also. Dj Quick was a blood when it was not cool to have gang ties in music and he never screamed Tree Top. Outside of Suge and lil Wayne few can name five bloods off the top of the head
@scaleshenry
@scaleshenry 10 ай бұрын

Ite im from Brooklyn (Flatbush) Pop Smoke was a 823 G-Stone Crip.. I think he shouted out 092 for his street in Canarsie East 92th St. G-Shine(GKB) is a UBN Blood set. Wooo/Wave Gang (We On Our Own) is an alliance of Bloods and Crips from Brownsville later making its way to Canarsie. CHOO/Hoodstars is a majority GD alliance with a splash of Bloods in there last time I checked. 823 is named after the building in Brooklyn the set was started at (823 Saratoga Ave). Allegedly don't quote me on this but 823 G Stone actually started from Rollin 100s UGC (LA Rollin 100 NHC) thru some sort of loose connection, idk how true that is but ive heard that rumor in Brooklyn

The Bloods have always been the underdogs , look at blueface his music is dirt but he in the blogs every week more than anyone else

@@HOODTROPHY2x my b just now seeing this. But blue face on the blogs every week because he keep doing dumb shi and everyone feed into it. When I think about who running the rap game mainstream and underground it’s the bloods. Young thug, playboy carti, nba youngboy, 21 savage, glokk40spazz, Benji blue bills, lil uzi, and mad more are bloods. But maybe the bloods get pushed more than the crips and I just see bloods

I knew Whiz before he even got on. He went to my high school years after me, & went to a studio that I went to (I.D. Labs). He may be "affiliated" now that he has blown up, & lives in Cali, but he doesn't come from that life. He is actually an army brat.
