I assume that there is no smell above the former reservoirs. How clear is the water up river?

I think the decay smell is from all of the sediment that is left.....lots of material still to decay. It would help if they get those areas covered with native flora.

It was to detect fish, or whatever may have swam through, below the former Iron Gate Dam
