SOS at 200 lumens is plenty bright enough to be seen for many miles / kilometers at night and allows for a LOT more runtime in SOS than what you would get if it was blasting out SOS at max output.

It's awesome how their holster has a velcro belt loop. Usually you have to go looking for a top quality aftermarket holster to get those features!

Many thanks for your video!I would LOVE Klarus to increase their high modes(from 400 lumens to 750-800 lumens) on their XT models as well as increasing their throw output from 320-400 meters to 650-700 meters.Come on Klarus,You can do it!

You make quality content! I really like this video! How hot does this thing get with prolonged use? For the SOS, I think Klarus was thinking about longevity rather than brightness. Because when you get into trouble, sometimes help does not come for a long time, and I guess they wanted something that does not drain the battery as much.

That is actually a BRILLIANT point that I did not think of. That makes so much sense. Thanks so much mate!! On turbo, the Klarus heats up relatively slowly compared to other lights. I did a comparison on another video with my friend Darren Yeo and i held the Nitecore P23i and this Klarus in my hands while on turbo. The P23i got so much hotter. So for the lumen output, this does not bad at all. Thanks again for bringing that SOS thing to my attention. It makes so much sense.

@@flashlightcrazy Nice to know that this light does not heat up that much. Did you notice the brightness dropping when running turbo? Some lights dial it back down when they heat up.

@@flashlightcrazy One more thing. The reson the P23i got hotter, is that it has a 21700 battery, which means that the light body is much thinner to fit the bigger battery into a 1" diameter handle. Less thickness means less thermal mass and heat conducting capability.

@@Dzsonib There is definitely a step down, but not very visible to the eye. I had it on turbo for the video and i didnt notice a step down when i was out in the darkness

@@flashlightcrazy just being honest here. When I'm looking for a review, I'm looking for unbiased opinions and a good more neutral approach. If it looks or sounds like a salesman is doing the review, it's a big no from me and my tech loving mates who are looking for opinions we can trust before making a purchase. Maybe keep that in mind for the future, I'll give a watch in upcoming videos and see, but thanks for the reply.

I buy 90% of the lights I review, so I get to say whatever I like because I don't have an obligation to anyone. I do this because I love lights. I'm surprised this is an 18650, I really thought it was a 21700,,but all good & you make a good point about the "strikes" but I would just leave it in tactical mode, which really appeals to me & man that Luminous SST is pretty hefty,I like..I like a lot😁🔦🔋

PS,I sometimes think they incorporate questionable things into the build of lights, so that we all can never find the ultimate perfect light, because then we might stop looking,thus cease to buy more 🤔😁😊
