The problem is that’s reality. We have teams that don’t play each other and they don’t play in remotely equal conferences. Imagine if a team like the Titans had to only the chiefs/Seahawks/Steelers/packers obviously their record wouldn’t be as good as a team like say the cardinals who only had to play the eagles/patriots/jags/ Texans... it’s a guessing game. Whether he is right or wrong about if we want college football to be that way (I don’t) BYU should be ranked higher than a 2 loss team BUT if you had to bet your house on Georgia or BYU head to head you’d be absolutely crazy to take BYU

Sorry Klatt, BYU isn’t great. Playing marshmallows for teams is NOT a valid measurement. Let’s take a look at his predictions about the Big 10 earlier this season. He was so wrong it’s not funny. Ohio State is the only good team in the Big 10. Indiana isn’t great...they’re plowing through a marshmallow conference this year. Same with Northwestern... Happy for them but the classic B10 powerhouses like Penn State and Michigan are losers this year.

Recruiting shouldn't play a factor in whether or not a team is good. Recruiting doesn't portray how good the team is at the moment, but how good each individual player was when they were recruited rather than how good they are right now, and how good they team is with all of these players.
