Twilight ruined vampires and werewolves for me; Klaus Mikaelson made both supernaturals LEGENDARY again!!!! He is the one that made watching: The Vampire diaries tolerable, The Originals Iconic, and Legacies worth it. And by the end of his journey no one was able to defeat him; he was beaten, daggered and trapped in a dungeon but he always wins in the end. He died on his terms and no one else's!!!!

I don't know what it is about Klaus. I mean, I get he is meant to be the personification of evil and a brute diabolical force that should not be toyed with, but watching this show makes me want to see him happy. It really does carry us along and like Elijah makes me believe and yearn for his redemption. Even after everything that he has done, all his mistakes it still seems feasible. I really do love Klaus and he's probably the best MC in any show I've ever watched its so unreal. Best Hero/anti-hero/Villain of all time. A character of Shakespearean quality. Klaus Mikaelson is a great evil who was always willing to go all the way for his family, and in the end he ended up sacrificing his own life, which he lived for over 1000 years, just for his daughter who gave him what no one else could, what he never believed in "unconditional love". This is the legend that Joseph Morgan was able to give us and give us the opportunity to experience all that the great Klaus Mikaelson experienced.

However, he appears in season 2 of TVD and is on the show until season 5. The first season of TVD is good anyway, trust me. I highly encourage you to at least watch The Originals. (:

They do a few cross over appearances in a handful of episodes with Stefan and Caroline from TVD and that’s it. Honestly, if you’re not interested in TVD, you can just skip to where Klaus is introduced in season 2 and catch some of their history until they move over to The Originals. But it’s not needed to watch both. I hope you’re able to watch it and enjoy! You’ll cry plenty.

I’ve been watching this compilation of Niklaus almost every single night before bed for at least 6 months. Besides being a supernatural being, Niklaus is a character that is almost identical to my personality, right down to being the outcast of the family, my mother’s greatest shame, the only child out of wedlock. Watching this show, watching his journey, seeing his slow transformation, it helped ground me, helped me crawl out of the shadow my family created me to be. In seeing Niklaus, in 32 years of life it was the only thing that was able to break through to me, to help me on my own path of redemption, to see myself for how I really am, & the courage to try & change. This show completely changed my life for the better, & I’ll always be thankful for it.

@@HandleBerries I think many of us can relate to Niklaus’ tragic upbringing, the life circumstances that led him to be so vicious, paranoid, & the casting of an illusion that he cares for nothing at all. Family have broken so many of us, & a lot of the time we grow up wounded & damaged because of it, creating future monsters to lay waste to those around us. Take the supernatural side out of it, & I grew up a lot like Niklaus, & ended up becoming quite like him. Seeing the show, seeing this, opened my eyes a lot, & helped with the changes I needed to make. I hope it has done the same for you, friend.

The greatest tv character ever and i don't say this lightly. Ive watched all the legendary shows even the old ones. This is the greatest acting job in tv history. There's literally no one i can even think of that can play this role as good as Joseph Morgan. Unforgettable. Its a crime he didnt win an emmy as lead actor for this role. I dont even think the voters knew about him tbh. They were all hooked on Hame of thrones at this time but not even. Tyrrian lannister acted this good.

Damn, it’s just so perfect, thank you so much for it! I’m so happy you didn’t focus that much on Klaus and Hope, I love them, but his aspects of life include way more than just father-daughter relationship. I also personally happy for including parts with Caroline, not because I’m a klaroline fan, but because I know that she still had some impact on him. But I love all parts. Thank you again.
