@@ducklord3620 Basically the witches, werewolves, and vampires created a being known as Malivore, who had the special power to consume a creature and make the world forget about that creature at least in specifics. It was created to kill monsters like Dragons who can turn into giant fire breathing lizards, but also have human forms too. Malivore is immune to magic and so the dragons couldn't actually hurt it and were consumed by it (into a black void) and it did the same for Phoenix, and various other beings like the Necromancer. It gained self-awareness and broke free for a time but then dissolved into a pool of black tar that consumed whatever fell into it, wiping it from the memories of the world. Kaleb got turned by Malivore into a Dragon Thrall because it possessed all the dragons and could release them partially or fully, so it enslaved them in a way. Hope killed the dragon Kaleb enthralled too but he kept his dragon modifications. He is now a hybrid of vampire and dragon. Landon is a Phoenix or was a phoenix, now he is sort of a psychopomp he ferries the souls of the dead but can also travel to and from limbo at will. But he belongs in limbo now, he is more spirit than man. They just expanded on myths more with the introduction of more and more creatures like Gargoyles and the like.

It always irritates me that they didn’t know what they were doing when they made the show. Since when does the series need the same villain for multiple seasons (Malivore & The Necromancer)? Plus Landon was super weak & boring, but they continued to keep him around. Even after he died they still showed him in the afterlife. The Necromancer too (whose super cringe) smh. The last season was the best imo. Bc the story got more serious & we finally got a fully activated Tribrid.

I guarantee if they explored the merge with Kai Parker during season 2 and lead to tribrid/no humanity hope, we'd be on season 6 right now.

Lizzie calls Jen "Vulcan", the Roman god of fire, deserts, metalworking and forge, yet the ferryman that resides in Limbo refers to her home, peace, as Valhalla, meaning norse beliefs. So, noticing that alone, already tells us that we can't point an especific mythology. Yes, it is possible that russia is involved but is not the only one, as history says Kievan Rus' and Vikings had a strong alliance, yet norse beliefs also indicate that Denmark, Switzerland, Norway and more countries, are also involved.

This could indicate that old population living in Russia a long time ago could have worshiped this Gods if they were more involved with Norse mythology. This in no mean is erasing the existence of Slavic mythology, both coexisted at some point (or even now, I don't know), so yes, Russia could have been involved at a specific time period, but is not the only one as Roman mythology was deeply used for the creation of the Gods in the show.

If Hope had not spent half her life running away from who and what she was, she would have been able to kill Ken by herself, she has the power of a god. This show had potential to be a superhit, all the magical potential and new mythology introduced could have carried it to 6 seasons at least, and we never got to see them have actual lessons and dive into supernatural studies. It should have ended with Hope being the new leader/symbol for supernaturals, taking over her father’s legacy as the Queen of New Orleans and her mothers dream of a united supernatural community. Loved the show nonetheless 💕
