You know, Tom Ellis comes from a family of pastors - his father, his sister, etc. I don't know if he had any input, or who was the one that was the guiding hand of the biblical aspect of this show, but they deserve sainthood for taking the stories and beliefs and putting them in a different light. I know it has made me think about my beliefs, especially with the losses I have suffered.

Yeah I love how people may see some common knowledge in a different light. In Islam it is believed that Satan was exiled from heaven because he refused to bow down to Adam, therefore defying the orders of God. And there are a minority of Muslim people that claims Satan didn’t bow down to Adam because the only being that’s worth bowing down to was God itself. He refused the order because of how much Satan actıally worshipped the God.

What a great and yet underrated show. I never heard of it when it it first came on TV. In fact,I never heard of this show until a KZbin search under Lucifer. This show is my new favorite guilty pleasure. I love the way they portray him. Brilliant! It's like some of my imagination got into someone else's head and they decided to make a show of it. I'm not saying I worship the real Lucifer, but I never perceived him as others have,either. This show is definitely my brand new guilty pleasure show,following a few other guilty pleasure shows that could only come from the WB.

If one analyses the noun DEVIL, we get "de" which as preffix means removing, and "vil" comes from vile, meaning bad. So, Lucifer was the one who for eternity was tasked to remove evil from people and that earned him the corrupted meaning of being evil embodiment across time. What a lot of people don't realize is that the netlfix show is based off of Luke 15:11-32. The Prodigal Son Story. This essentially is a story of what if Lucifer realized his mistakes and returned back to the Kingdom Of God. That's why he goes through his existential crisis of who he was, who he wants to be, and who he truly is. In the end, like in the story, the prodigal/proud/arrogant son is humbled and returns home.

Not sure how I randomly came across this but it's definitely going on my massive Lucifer Tribute Playlist, on which I only ever add, IMO, the best that I find. Seeing/hearing all the particular scenes and lines subsequently, in different orders adds a tremendous depth of different perspectives depending on how they are done.
