2014 Kia Cadenza Spark Plug Replacement Part 2

This is part 2 of the 2014 Kia Cadenza spark plug replacement. Due to technical difficulty I do not have the image of the underside of the surge tank. I've search and search to no avail. Hopefully this video will help someone out there. Enjoy!

I honestly did the same thing! I actually closed my eyes hoping I didn't hear you gasp because the threads stripped! But hey you work with what you got! I'll be tackling our 2014 Santa Fe 3.3L this week! 🤞🤞 Thanks got the videos, I couldn't find much on this engine 👍

Hey man love your vids please keep us lames up to date .. I just did my pcv valve and camshaft position sensor and it made a world of difference. .you said you might trade your car .. please make sure your getting a fair deal because on a trade in , most times you're actually giving your car to them .. I hope you don't I love my cadenza and John f you don't mind getting your hands a little greasy from time to time it' might be worth it to keep it ..

I followed your video and was able to do the back part no problem but my front 3 ignition coils will not come out to access my spark plugs. Any suggestions or ideas?

How Did the vehicle run after you changed them out?

Did you have to replace the gaskets on the intake manifold? My mechanic told me I needed to order them but on all the videos I have seen, I don't see any mention of having to replace them.

I did not replace the intake manifold gasket.

But what I would suggest if you have the money is to replace the 6 ignition coils that sit on top of the spark plugs

What is the interval for changing plugs? I have 71,000 miles and have not done that - or the ignition coils.

100,000 miles per the service manual. Don't worry I have 143,000 miles with orginal ignition coils.

@@KleliousDavis I suppose I should read the manual. Lol. Pretty much, I've just been doing synthetic blend oil changes, premium gas, and techron fuel additive every 3k miles. Am I missing anything major at 70k miles?

The next thing I'm gonna do is take apart the surge tank aka (intake manifold) again to reveal the intake ports and cleaned the intake parts out but don't worry I'll record it and post it on here.

Thinking about things like radiator flush and fill, AT flush and fill, etc.

Oh the transmission you can't service it. If you want to get it flush out you have to go to the Kia dealership.
