Problem is that there a few variables potentially at work that mean it's hard to come to a definitive conclusion. If the product is truly what they 'dig up and chuck in bucket' then its totally feasible that one may have more than the other - unless we know they are adding gold to each bucket then you have you can't be totally sure. Additionally, it makes little sense not to have a minimum amount guarantee if they are adding gold. . We are also assuming they know this channel and that a video will be made. And if they do know the channel then they would know there is every chance an honesty test might be done on their product so they would be better off leaving it as standard. At face value, with the decoy containing about 25% less gold then, yeah, you could assume the non-decoy has been given more gold. However, a sample size of one for each doesn't really prove anything either way. It could just be natural variation. So, I'd probably say this company is buyer beware for the time being.

The non-decoy one had more nuggets and they were bigger too. The decoy one had a lot of smaller gold. It definitely looks like they increased the amount and size of gold for the one they knew was going to you.

My friend had similar experiences as you had with the decoy bucket. He was VERY disappointed. BTW The grey heavy bussing trays from the restaurant supply stores are great for panning water.

I like the classifiers, one thing that could be added to them maybe is some Handi Grips for bucket handles, looks like close to same size... That said, my thoughts on paydirt bags... MOST miners end up selling their gold at 75-85% spot price.. IF, I sold dirt bags.. lets just say for 500 bucks, I would put 500 bucks worth of gold... That way, the consumer gets their moneys worth in gold, only paying shipping, and hopefully buys more, does reviews, everybody wants some, I sell out.... Every one is happy and I got spot price for my gold... plus, lol, a lot of my gold is -400 lode gold, so I could make bags for beginning panners or level 5 experts that want a real challenge... 🐐

Nice. Ya just gotta love panning for gold. I've got some coming for my family this Christmas along with a new pan for everyone. I've also got 8 five-gallon buckets of concentrates that my son and I prospected when we lived in Alaska. We prospected all over Alaska and I expect 2 to 3 oz of gold in each bucket. That's our average anyway. It's gonna be a fun Christmas. My wife and daughter in law have never panned before. Nor has my Grandson. Pans and paydirt for all to learn how. I can't wait. I live in Alaska and all the people I know who pan for gold in the many public places for it. Use those classifiers. They are very popular here. Not sure what brands they are using but that is the style.

Yes nuggets sell for higher than spot price (usually to collectors), I don't think there's enough here to recoup my losses by gold sales alone. The video is going OK so far, maybe the ad revenue will cover it!

I'd say it's close enough, maybe they salted yours with a bit extra, but it's not so egregious that I'd cry foul. Now if multiple more were done and they were all at or less than the decoy then yeah, but the +/- isn't so bad considering the amount of material assuming they're sourcing it and shipping it not just taking playsand and adding predetermined amounts.

I'm with you. I would need to see more decoy buckets to get the standard deviation to determine if the non-decoy bucket was "enhanced". If the vendor is not guaranteeing a minimum amount and is just shoveling up and sending buckets of dirt, you have to expect that there could be a significant difference between buckets. Do more buckets and hire a statistician!

@derekeimer7758 I'm not familiar with the shipper, so if you have the details feel free to spill them. I'm not gonna run roughshod over it and say stuff I don't know anything about. I don't know how the shipper prepares it. I don't know if they dig and then add gold to meet weight or if the decoy is the base amount always. But if they're in business and have been for a while, that gold has to be coming from somewhere. Maybe he buys and plants it all, but idk that either. So my estimate is Klesh got the high side, and since we do not have anymore samples the decoy was the low side. Until someone else says like "yeah I got that bucket and only got $400 out of it" I can only go on what I know, right?

Ya it is way too dusty. Was this load gold or placer? If this is placer gold and run down a wash plant through the sluice box it would not be that dusty. All the dust and finer light materials would have washed out. Now if it was load gold and just run through a crusher then this would explain the dust.

4.5 grams more is pretty obvious. That's not just a pinch more. I guess the only way to actually tell is to ask around to see what other people got from those buckets. If it's all over the place between 13 and 17.5 grams then i guess it's honest but if they all are 13 or less grams then they def juiced ya ... Or buy another one through a decoy and see what's in it.... But why waste more money.... Good video. Always like your PAH vids....

The ROI should be higher for a high price tag bulk item like this. They profit a lot more off one transaction even with higher ROI than when selling smaller bags. This was essentially a rip off even at a 75% ROI. Nugget buckets should be at least 85% ROI.

I love your channel but I did have one thought. You have done a few of these honesty test. I don't know if you buy many for yourself without reviewing them but if I was Mr.Vender I'm not going to give your bucket more than the other cause of you use your name I can only assume that one of my other orders are one of your decoys. The only solution I can think of is have two decoys buy the same product and you buy 2 as well separated by a few weeks then do a review of each of them to see if they still have more or the same in each case your and your decoy separated by time see if it is consistent.
