Klingon Hegh'Toq Bird of Prey VS USS Tempest - Both Ways - Star Trek Starship Battles

I suspect it's similar to another fight you just had. The Hegh'Toq has more powerful weapons and speed, while the Tempest has stronger shields and armor. So they balance each other out, leaving the human factor as the only difference. Though I think the Bird of Prey repeatedly getting it's head blown off, was the kind of laugh I needed right now.

The USS Tempest just became my favorite Starfleet hull design. I have always thought the designs the Federation used looked structurally weak where the nacelles attached to the engineering section. In my head they always needed more triangulation to maintain structural integrity, for when those S.I fields failed, as they often do, and this nacelle and hull geometry with the biplane-esq forward and rearward facing 'canard struts' is the one I used to draw as a kid 50 years ago, lol.

I agree the Tempest is the clear winner here. The Hegh'Toq design is rather interesting for sure. I do like the look of the ship. Although it needs to have stronger shields in order to stay in the fight longer. I laughed each time you were in the BOP and the whole front section of your ship was just missing lmao.

The Hegh'Toq does seem a wee bit too OP, but it is in-line with the other post-War heavy attack ships we see like the Valiant, Kyoto or Cardassian Bakrus Class. The only problem with this ship is that it is modded to be too small to credibly pull off its power. If it was larger like the Kyoto or Bakrus it would make perfect sense. Because of its size I have hard time believing it can put out so many torpedoes.

I still can't get used to the Heh'Toq having those dual torpedo tubes in the front. It just doesn't look right.

I agree, she was always a wee bit too small for the wallop i gave her, relied on weak shields exploitable by pilot maneuvering and cloaking to balance it. Happy to see how well shes been appreciated and liked over the years. That being said if i ever redid it, it would probably end up alot different, and maybe a bit larger. ...... *if* I ever redid it.

It's a great ship. I imagine the Klingons would have made quite a bit of tech progress during the Dominion War. I love the Metal Armour at the back of the ship. It reminds me of a giant heatsink, but conveys serious protection. Hmmmz, a larger version, that would be neat to see someday 🖖

I like the Tempest's dual warp nacelle connections. It looks like ship designers have finally realised a warp nacelle flying off, in battle, is a very bad thing 🖖

I think you used the cloaking devise properly in that one. Fire all weapons, cloak, line up outside of their torpedo arcs (top or bottom), unload everything, cloak, repeat. Only way for these forward firing ships to punch above their weight class. Unless you’re in the GRAND NAGUS then you can just hold down the fire button and go to the fridge for a snack.

Of note, the Tempest Class used here is the "Concept" version that is based on the original Starforce Productions release. The Future Tempest Class would near one-shot this BoP, sadly😢😅 Glad to see a somewhat balanced fight!😎👍

Design and firepower seem cool and right for Klingons But damage output is way too strong. It can almost 1v1 a ship 10x it's weight class.

Power looks to be wrong, should only be able to do an opening alpha volley before reserves and battery are drained. then it should cloak, reduce systems and then recharge a bit and come in for another strike. Here its just at maxed everything giving full punches until systems are completely destroyed.

Naw, got to give that to the Hegh'Toq. Just have to actually fight the way the ship was meant to. Hit and run, then hit and run in the blind spot. The AI does a terrible job of doing that, so it was just trading blows rather than cloaking and focusing one ship at a time and then cloaking again. If you do a head-to-head but do not do as the ships were designed to fight, then it is not an honest fight, even if it is a fair one.

The Hegh'Toq still needs a power plant adjustment: Overloading weapons, engines, sensors, and shields to 125% should exert the warp core, use battery and reserves like the Tempest and other ships.

Now I understand it's a game engine thing and it's hardly the detail that matters, but that planet is noticably polygonal. Imagine what it would be like to be walking on the surface of that planet. Every flat surface would seem flat at first, but the farther you go in a straight line, it'll start to feel like you're walking uphill. Right up until you get to the top of the hill, and then everything is downhill....at least until you reach the center of that facet, and everything feels flat again.

That game used to blow my mind with how realistic everything looked, the fully-rendered 3D characters, the dungeons even had CEILINGS if you zoom into first person view.... And I tried picking that game up again earlier this year and I was like...is this even the same game?! I remember it being so much more awesome, but thinking back...no the character's mouths never moved, they really always did talk by slightly wiggling their heads. It's crazy how spoiled we've become. Things that would've blown our minds 20 years ago, today are just expected.

Time out you’re saying a wee bit of hull damage makes it a write off and needs to be scrapped? The Enterprise-D belly flopped on a damn planet AND hit a mountain after half of it got blown up and that wasn’t a write off or scrapped even got rebuilt (should’ve been but I digress) while the Big E-E literally rammed another another ship and was royally f’ed up after the ship was half assimilated and lost a warp core, still wasn’t a write off or scrapped.

Here again a huge skimetar and a huge Klingon ship are maneuvering at the level of modern fighters so that these giants could maneuver like that they should have a mass effect field besides the shield which made the ships almost inert but not one race seemed to have such a field or I missed something I don’t know the fact that the ships can’t maneuver like that it’s 100 percent done for evil and yes if someone writes that they have fancy maneuvering engines there no according to the lore the Fidirations have solid maneuvering engines yes everyone does I don’t think that they were able to make some kind of super mega maneuvering engines that can make a ship the size of a continent maneuver like the fighters from Star Wars they don’t have such technologies

"Klingon version of the Defiant" Yeah and far better than the Defiant in every way shape and form. This proves you don't need a new ship that couldn't even work without being tinkered on by a wannabe Scotty knockoff(obrian). They used a class if BOP to make it and I don't blame the Klingons as its a very reliable design. I bet a Miranda with the same upgrades as the Lakota would have been a better use of resources than the defiant ehich had been sitting in mothballs because of how trash it was. Lol
