You can use it with any language and any word as a base and follows only a few easy substitution rules. A new language brings in its own words and maybe probably even its own sentence structure. Ubbi dubbi doesn't do that and you don't need to learn new words, just the rules

My first watch of this episode almost had me crying with laughter during this exchange. The Klingon is funny to begin with, but adding Ubbi Dubbi (which I remember from weekday afternoon PBS airings of Zoom in the 1970's) to this scene made it completely hilarious. I watched the episode again last night on HBO Max, and it's still brilliant ... the writing and the performances. Ubbi Dubbi reminds me of a "language" my family had with each other when i was a kid. It was basically putting the b in the front of every Cantonese word. We called it the B language. We'd use it at a public dinner when me and my sister want to go and ask my mom when we are leaving so we're not "impolite"
