Klipper now includes built in Timelapse support. I'll step you though Fluidd setup and calibration, Mainsail is a similar process.

Hello, how do I start the session with the raspberry? I know that in the console I enter pi and then it asks me for the password, what I have read is that for the first time it is raspberry but it tells me access denied

Thanks for the step by step instructions, I've been running Klipper for over 6 months now and missed having timelapses when I had octoprint. I know it was quite involved getting it up and running previously, which I never attempted to do. This made it super easy and worked first time!

As usual, I seem to have an issue no one else has ever had. Or, at least not that google is able to find for me. The setup appears to go smoothly, timelapse settings and tab shows up as expected in fluidd, but the moment I actually start a print (technically, the moment when the first frame would have been captured) the video feed on the timelapse tab changes to a broken image icon and nothing is captured. Hyperlapse or via layer change macro makes no difference. I verified the folders in the config exists, as well as ffmpeg. If anyone popping by here should have any tips, I'm all ears.

just realized this is 6 months old but i’ll leave this anyway in case. so if my understanding is correct those are just the frames being captured in the timelapse tab. the whole file will be accessible there when the print completes successfully and the video renders (automatically if you let it, along with the other settings you specify). in your config you specify an output folder that you should be able to access easily using FTP through something like FileZilla (similar to how you ssh in, if you’re not familiar) and then you could find the video there. i don’t think the timelapse tab ever has anything but still images.

@@hawsroy I did get this sorted way back when. The issue was that it wasn't actually capturing any valid frames. I don't remember exactly but I believe the solution was that the timelapse settings in Fluidd had two cameras available for selection, "default" which I originally had it at, and the name of my actual camera. I switched it over when I noticed the option and everything started working fine. If that wasn't the solution then some config file fiddling was involved as well. Either way, is all good now. Well, the printer turned out to be crappy but at least the timelapses work. :) I appreciate you trying to help.

This is a great tutorial. Taking time lapse photos getting the head out of the way would cause the print to take a lot longer than a normal print, so definitely not something you want on all the time, but those time lapse photos are absolutely amazing for KZbin videos and the like. :) I was even considering running OctoKlipper plugin and using Octoprint for timelapse as it just seemed difficult in Klipper to get it running. So glad it has been made a lot easier now

I've set up exactly as you have, the new tab and the setting show up, webcam is super laggy but working and I've added the post process in cura. However, when it prints, it just says "unknown command TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAME" at the beginning of each layer? I've googled and can't seen to find anyone else with this issue
@six1free
@six1free Жыл бұрын
I'm using creality slicer and have added the TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAME both before and after the layer change, as well as under timelaps (900 seconds) - and when I save the gcode, TIMELAPSE isn't anywhere in the file any ideas? I feel like there must be a setting to enable the extra gcode, or mark layers - I also figure this is why it didn't pause at X layer when I tried that too (unrelated) ... and perhaps why klipper always says 0/0 layers?

I just updated my klipper and now timelapse is broken again. Have you had this happen? this is what it says. Moonraker warnings found. [update_manager timelapse]: Moonraker is not permitted to restart service 'timelapse'. To enable management of this service add timelapse to the bottom of the file /home/pi/printer_data/moonraker.asvc. To disable management for this service set 'is_system_service: False' in the configuration for this section. any suggestions?

@@BultiZ Yes, my camera has these features. I have a Logitech C930e 1080P HD Video Webcam. I use these features in OctoPrint all the time. I zoom in and out of small and large prints all the time. I don't have the ability to do this in Fluidd or Mainsail. I would love to have or know of these features in Mainsail as I like the interface and other features more than OctoPrint but I also do timelapse videos.
