The speaker system's volume should never be turned all the way up. That's why the ProMedia 2.1 distorted so badly. It's ok to have the subwoofer all the way up, but not the speaker system's volume. Having the speaker system's volume all the way up almost guarantees you'll have problems. The ideal thing to do is, have your software volumes all the way up to 100 and then do all of your volume adjustments from the volume knob on the speaker system. That will produce a far better sound. The same goes for the ProMedia Heritage 2.1, but it doesn't distort as easily because it's just a much better speaker system. When you began testing the ProMedia Heritage 2.1, its volume level was at about 50%. You can remove the grill from the subwoofer. It's just not easy. The grill is very very very sturdy and it's somewhat of a tight fit. It has some weight to it as well. You'll have to work it off bit by bit all around the edges. As it gets looser, it becomes easier to remove. You can remove the grills from the satellites too. It's the same process as removing the subwoofer grills, but it's much easier. You don't really have to work them off. They kinda just come off. You turned the subwoofer down when you turned the 'Bass' knob on the back. I know it says "Bass", but that's the subwoofer level. So you could've done the same thing with the remote control, but then it would've been much much slower. lol The knobs on the back are digital as well, just in case you or anyone else wonders. So they make the same adjustments that the remote control makes. Regarding the size and dimension of the subwoofer, I like to describe it as a cannon. :) Its superior sound isn't due to the lower frequency response all that much. It's much more from the size of the speaker and the acoustics of the cabinet (due in part to its long shape), and the vastly superior and much more efficient amplifier. I think everyone who sees this should know that this video doesn't do this system justice at all. The ProMedia Heritage 2.1 actually makes the ProMedia 2.1 seem wimpy in comparison. Anyone who can afford the ProMedia Heritage 2.1 would be wasting their money by getting the ProMedia 2.1 instead. It's definitely as superior as the price implies.

Lmao buddy wrote an essay, yes overall the heritage 2.1 is way better, as I said in the video. I also was adjusting volume on the laptop and adjusting bass on the speaker as you mention. On systems with preamps this is more important but irl with closed laptops and stuff you can expect people to use both knobs. I used the OG 2.1 a lot and it served me well for the price, I have a vid repairing it as I bought it used, and the heritage is a very good replacement for its price. I still think you can get better in the price range, my preference being with Edifier. Also you can remove the grills from the OG 2.1 but I can confirm you also CAN remove them from the heritage 2.1, it’s just takes some effort. I removed the grill from the OG 2.1 to do the subwoofer repair video. Speaking of subs, I adjusted subwoofer for the heritage using the remote in the vid too. When I did turn the bass and volume up and down from the back, I did that on purpose lmao to show off the range. Regarding why the sub sounds better, you're right too, but in the scope of the comparison I think the lower extension is what would matter more, especially at this price point. With the distortion, you're right too, I learned that through use as well as I used the OG 2.1 in my college dorm, but it was still annoying when I plugged in other people devices or moved rooms and stuff; so I thought it was worth mentioning like that in the video. Overall, distortion stuff true, but real life use and not just leaving plugged into 1 device causes problems, you CAN remove the grills from BOTH (my bad). Bass stuff also true, bad representation on my part, the knobs are digital, same as what the remote does, but I like testing with the knobs as I'm used to on the Edifiers. Lastly I agree the vid prob doesn't do the systems justice, I did it hastily and late, and mainly just wanted to showcase some differences between the two systems, assuming the viewer already knew about both separately. Both are pretty great speakers at their price points and will serve their purpose when used correctly. Basically, everything this guy is saying is true, but it’s basically also what I been saying. Thus ends my essay in response to yours Cheers!

You seem to have experience with this one. Can I control the volume from Windows PC if I connect it via Bluetooth? I have seen some marshall speakers that are not adjustable and its stuck at 100% no matter what.

I haven’t tried it from windows myself, but I can from the phone on Bluetooth so yes you should be able to.

@@namesurname1122 Oh wow I just tried it and yep! Adjusting the Windows volume adjusts the speaker system's volume and vice versa just like it does with my iPhone. Very cool. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the Klipsch ProMedia Heritage 2.1's volume control is digital, but still I think it's cool!

Hey, good one this. Can you upload another with more songs comparison?

This review was more helpful to me than youtubers with 100x the subs. No one actually plays music on them in videos. I understand you dont get a 100% accurate representation of the audio but its still helpful.

does they have a hiss? many people report hiss

Yeah, almost every speaker does and for varying reasons right, but in this case I would say the hiss is a little louder in between songs, but not noticeable at idle or when songs are playing
