Amir didn't think too highly of these...in his words "Objective and subjective testing shows this to be a horrible choice ranking the speaker as one of the worst I have tested........as designed, it gets my worst rating of "stay away."" Maybe they could be paired with "no highs, no lows....must be Bose" :)

​@@brucermarinoI am lining my walls with old disregarded smelly mattress I found in a old abandoned home for room treatment and looking for a heck of a lot of toothless redneck chicks to have stand around as defusers. I also just got done getting all the old jumper cables out of the wrecked cars and trucks on my property, them going to get coated in bacon grease to keep from oxidation for my speaker cables . I'm thinking about a old waterbed for a turntable isolation platform tooooo😂 shit I think I will make a script and a cartoon for audio guys for comic relief 🤪

@@KissAnalog Thanks, but don't laugh it off. Such behavior is known to lower your listening position and reduce High Frequencies forcing you to remove your cable risers and we all know what that can lead to!

Probably a bit light on the bass compared to Klipschorns. I've had the privilege of hearing some pedal organ through a pair of those corner-loaded horns and they just might knock your fillings out. These days I make do with a cheap set of powered 2.1 Logitech speakers; I've found they're good enough for everything from Lindsey Stirling to Geoff Castellucci and Tim Foust.

Are you going to upgrade and make a new crossover that would be good🫡☺ they have a very low dip in the mid range it can be a bit shouty is definitely room for improvement! do three or four series and see how the improvement comes along ,cabinet, cross over, etc find the resonance in the cabinet of the port and isolate this peak and smooth it out with its impedance. could you make a 500 dollar speakers sound like a 4 thousand dollars there's a challenge for you I say it's possible!

Thanks for the challenge - we will see:) Other Audiophiles say they like this version better than the 'upgraded' version - and even the new Mark II version. I think this is a great example of how much the speaker makes a change in the sound. All the snake oil aside - the speakers are where it is at;) I think I'm going to do a rant on this ;)

I have been using a pair of RP600Ms in my Hifi rig. I was considering the Danny crossover upgrade but after listening closely to comparison testing between the stock speakers and the Danny mod, I decided not to do the mod. I prefer the sound of the stock speakers.

Thanks for that feedback! What does the Danny upgrade cost? I can't believe it is worth it. Others that have reviewed that and/or the Mark II think the original sounds better. It has the Klipsch sound. The way the crossover 'upgrade' works is that it mutes the highs and lows to come down to the mid valley...that does not sound like an upgrade;) IMHO
