KLM Airbus A330 Economy Comfort review & New KLM Lounge

For a visit to my family in Holland I had finally decided to take a direct flight as opposed to one with multiple stopovers. KLM actually fly 3 times a week between Amsterdam and Edmonton as (currently) the only European carrier, so it was only a matter of time for me until I got to try it out.
KLM has recently renovated the interior on the A330 fleet and this A330 was actually the first one to get the new livery painted on it. However, this A330 is also one of two out of thirteen A330 aircraft in the KLM fleet NOT to get new economy seats and is still stuck with the old interior.
In this video we'll also have a look at the brand new KLM Crown Lounge. The lounge has officially opened in November 2018 and is stunning, although KLM has made some questionable decisions.

Finally found one for the a330 200, im flying to aruba in les than 2 weeks and since it on my birthday i treated myself to the comfort class and wondering what it looked like. Great informative video! Definitely looking forward to my flight a bit more now.

Er vanuit gaande dat je Nederlands spreekt, heb je een goede keus gemaakt. De extra beenruimte is fantastisch. En als je gelukt hebt krijg je zelfs eentje met de nieuwe stoelen! Je hebt 75% kans op de nieuwe stoelen, dus als je wat je in mijn video al ziet goed vindt, dan zou je nog eens een positieve verrassing kunnen krijgen!

12:48 The reason why those two A330-200's weren't updated with the new cabin, is that they were planned to be retired in 2020, so it wasn't useful to install a new cabin for only a few months of service. Both A330-200's with the old cabin (PH-AOM and PH-AON), are now withdrawn from use at KLM and won't operate for KLM ever again. So you now have a 100% chance of the new cabin :-)

They didn't retired there seats on the 2 a330 -200 because that is actually the acact same seat as in a a330-300 and the old a330-200 they hat even smaller screens than your flight. I flew the a330-200 to Bonaire and then we hat the new economy class and that was nice but the outbound flight was on the old seats. I hope you know know that the didn't retire those seats.

The aircraft was nammed Piazza San Marco Venezia and I don't why it wasn't updated. But 4 oldest KLM a 330-200s at least has been updated with the new cabins.

Great vid! That J cabin looks disappointing, 2-2-2 is outdated, especially on such a narrow aircraft like the A330

The reverse herringbone is fantastic, but KLM have to make money somehow. The 2-2-2 layout it great for couples though.

Good video. I avoided flying KLM direct from Edmonton due to their business class seating. Flew Air Canada to Frankfurt to connect to Amsterdam just to have their business class seats.

Their new business class are full flat diamond seats and they’re great! You no longer have to avoid them for business class!

@@Vuelogs But still a 2X2 configuration. Flying as a single nothing beats the Air Canada 777/787 Dreamliner or Westjet Dreamliner configuration with having the single seat and full aisle access. Once you fly that configuration which I have on a few other international airlines it's tough to go back to the 2x2. I like the privacy and access to the washroom without jumping over someone if you have a window seat.

@@Vuelogs I would love to fly direct from Edmonton on KLM but not for for the same price point as another airline even if a connection is required. That's just me as I love flying and do it for pleasure and not business anymore. Good luck on your channel as I think you will do very well and I will continue watching.

Yep, tail numbers PH-AON and PH-AOM did not get refitted with new economy class.

Lmao. KLM-AF got rated for the best service. I think you just had bad luck or it was your own fault. Other than that who can say no to cake on a regional flight ;-)
