Its amazing what a person forgets over the years. Seeing this cereal time brought back childhood memories (as have many of your videos). I remember staring at that box many times as I ate my breakfast as a kid back in the 70's. Thanks once again for a trip down memory lane.

I practically forgot that Nabisco made cereal. My favorite cereal from the was, get this, shredded wheat. lol. Btw try Honey Kix and compare it to that cereal. Maybe it's similar?
@DLCOrganization6 жыл бұрын
I dunno, Raed... I don't find ANY variety of Kix bearing any similarity to any kind of Shredded Wheat.
@raedabdulrahman65566 жыл бұрын
DLCOrganization I was talking about comparing honey kix to golden nuggets

I liked the original shredded wheat with the big biscuits and smaller box. They still make the big biscuits as only see the spoon size anymore?

*WOW!!!!* Talk about *SUPER-RARE & OBSCURE "fer SURE"!* I can guarantee only approximately no more than 3% of the "Cereal Time" audience has ever heard of this cereal. THIS is why we need "Cereal Time TV"! Another EXCELLENT installment, Gabe! Also, I find it quite ironic that Nabisco followed up on that Winnie The Pooh packaging with a new design featuring a new original character and somehow incorporating *EEYORE* as their first incarnation of Thorndike! It must have been the real deal indeed if Nabisco didn't get into any trouble with that for three years. I'm surprised you didn't catch on to that. I was hoping you would have. (Well...the design was close enough. You know what I mean.)
@CerealTimeTV6 жыл бұрын
Lol. Well he's not really Eeyore, but I can see the resemblance. Glad you liked the old cereal video, I think most of the viewers of this channel prefer me doing the newer stuff. But I started this channel because of the old nostalgic cereals I wanted to cover.
@DLCOrganization6 жыл бұрын
Ah... Never underestimate your audience, Gabe. They love ALL of it -- the nostalgic factor, the overall presentation, the high educational value it brings about cereals past, present and possible future / rare and obscure / old and new. In fact, when you draw connections between new cereals and older ones, the excitement factor intensifies. The people love this program for everything it is. It works just fine. Keep up the great works, man!

What’s the Klondike name? I think I know just want to know why they picked that name
@timothyphillips489 Жыл бұрын
From the Klondike Gold Rush in the late nineteenth century in the Yukon in Canada. Like the California Gold Rush, it helped give us the image of the "crazy old prospector" like Pete. I was 5 years old when it went off the market in the US, but I remember eating the rice version and it was delicious. Good memory.

Klondike Pete's Rice was great! The wheat was similar to Sugar Smacks but the rice was my favorite. There seem to be about 5 basic cereals which then are shaped and flavored differently but still no sugar coated rice for years after Klondike Pete's! Why? I have missed this cereal since the 70's and always look for a similar replacement but year after year, there is nothing. The only reason I can figure is the rice gets soggy fast but if you're like me, you let your crunchy cereals soak and become soggy before eating. Crunchy is so overrated in everything from cookies to bread crusts! Fight the crunch and bring back Pete's!!!!
@chazcov085 жыл бұрын
I bought plain puffed rice at the Indian food store and I'm going to try making my own Crispy Nuggets! I used to eat the hell out of that stuff when I was a kid in the 70's. I just have to find a good glaze recipe.
