This game had a powerful message at the end. Instead of ignoring sorrow you accept its existence. It helped me a lot in life.

It's interesting how the ending for this game is the opposite of the first game. Before, Klonoa didn't want to leave Huepow, and here, it's the other way around. Lolo doesn't want Klonoa to leave, but he knows he has to. Him parting ways with Huepow was emotionally traumatizing, but it made him stronger in the end. Basically the whole fight against the King of Sorrow (or Dark Klonoa as I like to call him) was about Klonoa confronting and overcoming his own anguish. Regardless though, it's still a sad ending. Not nearly as tragic as the first game, but it still hit hard for me

He went back to his real world (the true Phatom Vile) just like in the first game, and apparently although it was said he would forget the memories from back then, they have just simply been hidden within the dephts of his heart. His mind has forgotten, but his heart remembers and that is what changed him in this game (probably what explains this one being about the Song of Sorrows, rather than one of healing). Klonoa is a dreamer just like us living his own life then diving into dream worlds once they need his help, but sadly, he must part everytime a world is safe (when he wakes up). Do you know those times when we dream of worlds, or even have nightmares we want to fight against? Where we meet many people and even wake up shaken, happy and learn things that we carry in our lives even if it can't be remembered? That's the thing here.

Klonoa is perhaps one of most tragic game protagonists of videogames cuz hes forced to leave after completing his task. When i read the comics on shiftylook it was revealed that he lives on some sort of hut in his own dimension(one similar to the first game) where he only describes that hes the guardian of dreams and he must dream in order to save many dream worlds. I dont know if Klonoa is some sort of multiversal entity or just a loney creature that is forced to be the dream guardian, but as for how is portrayed on those comics prob Klonoa is being the dream guardian for many ages now imagine that kind of existence pretty sad.

So, Klonoa seems to be a being that travels between dimensions to restore the order of the existence.

Klonoa taking it like a boss, he's come so far to be here. I don't think we'll see another Klonoa game soon. I like to think that Klonoa games came, made the impact they had to and left our world. Just like he does.

And Ikaruga. Remember you blew yourself up to destroy the final boss. It's also funny you mentioned Radiant Silvergun, the late Tomoko Kawakami starred in both that game and this game, as the female protagonist.
