With so many albums, I can see why things might get blurred a bit when they were asked about Stained Class. Richie Faulkner almost looked reluctant to mention how "Exciter" was the highly influential track they were alluding to. And there was zero mention of WHY this track/album was so influential, namely Les Binks powerful drumming, starting with the double bass intro to Exciter, the opening track on this album. And when Glenn mentioned "Better By You..." (the track associated with the infamous suicide lawsuit), nobody wanted to talk about it.

All the good heavy metal bands were once young and crazy. Just be respectful to each of them. Life is short! We don’t need to be negative. Yeah, one time They all Shined and now they’re old and have health issues. In the future, you all will be in that place too. When I’m in my 60’s I’ll still rock and jam with the millennials or grandkids! Live life to its Fullest! It’s time for the new young heavy metals to shine ✨ Keep supporting those who are still around. #JudasPriest-Metal Gods4ever!❤️

Gosh, if people think the Punk and Metal guys from the 70s and 80s are old, just think of how old those 1960s psychedelic bands must feel, not to mention those doo wop/rockabilly guys from the 1950s---however many of them left that are still alive!

Great interview but sad to see they're downplaying KK Downing's role in the formation of the band. KK formed the band with Ian Hill and the brother of Ian's girlfriend was Rob Halford. He joined in '73. Glenn Tipton joined in '74 at the suggestion of the record company, who felt they needed a second guitarist. It seems unfair that these things are rarely mentioned by the band anymore.
@Stefan.X.6 жыл бұрын
Yea that's messed up Rob wouldn't mention that, seems integral to the formation of the band

To think that England brought us The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure and the like but also brought us Judas Priest. Who'd think by seeing these guys talk that the so called alternative bands existed in England. I think England still is more associated with alternative of the '80s than metal.
