If I recall correctly, Sonic Forces runs at 720p in handheld mode. I have Sonic Frontiers for both Xbox and Switch. I gotta say, when I played the game on the Switch, It looked fuzzy. I want every game on everything so long as developers don't have to compromise their vision. It's that simple and Switch is just rather weak. It is also cheap and that's why it is popular.

The Switch is the most popular console because it is the most family friendly. It’s the console most parents would buy for their kids because it’s portable and has games like Mario and Animal Crossing. Most of those parents don’t know anything about gaming. The Switch is literally the console for people who don’t or barely play video games.

I love my Switch, but never would I want every 3rd party game to crunched down to be able to run on Switch. Some consoles are just more powerful than others. The Switch's main appeal is its portability, so instead of wanting to dumb down all games to its inferior power, the most impressive Switch games just work with what they got and maximize their limited hardware. But even so, the most powerful Switch game is the most meh PS5/Series X game.

The thing is Nintendo definitely had the money and resources to make a powerful hybrid system at least stronger than the base PS4. But no they didn’t even do that.
