Honestly I found that the decision to include a more dynamic difficulty system was genius as it helps to improve the gameplay experience for both a casual and hardcore audience. I, as a more skilled player, will likely turn up the game speed to the maximum setting, but I would never judge someone else for needing to turn down the settings. It's a game, they're supposed to be fun, don't gatekeep people just because they aren't as skilled as you.

Modern Doom games are properly optimized in terms of challenge. I had a good time with 2016 and Eternal, but didn't pass a single lvl on max difficulty.
