That black block underneath your intake is a air restricter that’s supposed to come off when installing the carb or really on a 143 in general. So even though you have a bigger carb your choking it. That’s also why your stud seemed too small you have an extra half inch not supposed to be there
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Hmmm Interesting… I always thought the intake spacer(black block) was to help reduce heat transfer to the carb. And I’d have to look but I won’t think it be restricting at all since the diameter should be the same that is in the motor but it would explain my issue with the bolts not being long enough. Well looks like I’ll have to check this out. Thanks for info 👍
@njfranz21 Жыл бұрын
Yeah give it a try and see how it goes. It’s ether the BBR or Tbolt site that actually tell you it’s supposed to be removed. I’m currently running the same setup. I had to move a size up on the pilot as well and now it’s finally running crisp and all bottom end bog is gone. Things rips like a bat outta hell.

26mm carb
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Well I just made a video on the cam. When you put the cam in which way did the B face on the cam when installed?
@njfranz21 Жыл бұрын
You need a bigger pilot jet. Stock the Mikuni26mm should have a 22.5 pilot in. Get a 25 and maybe even the 27.5. Should get rid of your bog.
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Thanks!!! She’s running pretty crisp now. My cam position ended up being off and that’s what was causing our whole issue. 22mm prolly would have worked just fine. No biggie. Im getting ready to do a build on a xr100 and I think the 22mm mikuni should run pretty nice on a bbr kit.

Also I’d reroute your throttle cable up and above your coil and through your bars.

Do you have the bbr cam on this? I also have a weird cutting out issue on my 110 and it only started after the cam install so I'm wondering if I also have the timing wrong.
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
It’s a TB cam. And it was because our timing was wrong. Once we got it timed right the thing rips.
@daviddeyo558 Жыл бұрын
@Full Speed Impulse was it off a tooth? You mentioned the cam being at 3 and 9... I'm assuming by that you meant the cam lobes were facing towards the top of the head at TDC.
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Yea so the first time we had it was off literally 180 degrees. Then the second time when I timed it even though I thought it was good ended up being a tooth off. Third time was the charm. Do you have any extra valvetrain noise with the bbr cam?
@daviddeyo558 Жыл бұрын
@Full Speed Impulse I do not the valve train is as quiet as before the cam, I have been chasing down this issue for some time now. I suspected it was a jetting problem, but I have tried all options with jetting and get no change. I'm going to look into the timing. So cam lobes should be facing the piston at TDC right?
@FullSpeedImpulse Жыл бұрын
Yep that is right. Make sure you are using the right timing marks also. The T mark is the one you want to use.

Hi, I just ordered the same carb and wondering if it’ll work for my 2020 Kawasaki KLX 110L it’s doesn’t have a big bore or air box mod it just has a FMF pipe. Will it be a good idea to still put a new 26mm carb on it?
@FullSpeedImpulse6 ай бұрын
If you don’t have a bbr u flow the answer will be no. 22mm will be the cats meow for you. Still plugs right into your stock intake. We have done multiple builds with the 22mm. Klx110 stock bore with bbr intake and exhaust and a klx110 with a 143 kit with stock intake. Both ran great with the 22mm. I’ve also used them on the xr100 and the klx140.

@elislifestyle3600 your intake tube won’t attach to the carb. If you buy a bbr intake then you will be alright after some jetting maybe. But I think it’ll still be a lot of carb for that

@@FullSpeedImpulse So the kit. It came with came with a new manifold and an air filter
@FullSpeedImpulse6 ай бұрын
@elislifestyle3600 i personally dislike those filter setups because it leaves your air filter right up front collecting all the dirt and water. But it will work for you for now until you’re ready to upgrade down the road.

@FullSpeedImpulse9 ай бұрын
So we are actually doing a video now on a klx110 right now that we installed a 22mm on . I would still recommend a 22mm mikuni, with a airbox mod and modify your stock exhaust would be some great first upgrades that are budget friendly.

Are you running a 143 kit? If not, I would buy the 22mm mikuni from tboltusa instead of the 26.

@FullSpeedImpulse7 ай бұрын
@CHRIS_NYC I’m not an expert. But I would say it’s normal that your bike might bog if you try revving it wide open from an idle position. Only because these carbs are pretty basic. They don’t have accelerator pumps which helps out a lot when your cracking the throttle fast like that I assume.
@CHRIS_NYC7 ай бұрын
@@FullSpeedImpulse but if I'm in first gear and I wide open throttle it does the same thing. The old one that I took off when I bought the bike didn't do that at all but it was also a smaller carb. I was thinking of messing with the Needle height
