Don't look at the expected score and get stressed. No one can predict what will be the cutoff this year. It can be higher or it can be lower. Look at how much you are scoring now in the mock exams. Have small targets and try to improve. For example, if you are scoring around 500, then try to improve your score to 550. Once you reach 550, target 600 and so on.

Deemed university is a better option as you can join in Round 1 itself. You can also try NRI lapsed, but you have to wait until TN Round 2.

If you get KMC Mangalore through KEA, you will pay around 1.5 lacs per year. If you get the seat through MCC all India counseling, you will be paying around 18 lacs per year.
