Wow, never would expect people to react to these guys. Well worth a listen as they have some total bangers that still seem like they could have been written today. Hard to get a better introduction to Industrial than KMFDM.

I like this song a lot. The vocalist is a New Yorker named Nicole Blackman. Shes an author, poet, and vocalist. She did work with Alan Wilder (former member of Depeche Mode). She also recorded an album with 'The Golden Palominos' in 1996 labeled Dead Inside. I'm a fan of her work.

It's called industrial techno, and this band is one of the pioneers of the genre, along with Ministry, NIN, Skinny Puppy and My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult. No I'm not making that last one up.

Is industrial but KMFDM are very particular, they sound like no other industrial band. They don't stick to a particular style but at the same time you can feel their signature in all their songs.

They classify themselves not as Industrial but as "Ultra heavy beat" and they are one of a kind band. They really don't sound like any other industrial band out there.

They're the ultra heavy beat. They are Light. The industrial soundtrack to the holy wars. A treat for the freaks. Deified Dada, hard but true. Better than the best, Megalomaniacal and harder than the rest. And never forget: KMFDM Sucks!

Awwwesome reaction, gf, may I recommend "Godlike" also by KMFDM. I got into the gothic/industrial club scene in the 90s, in Hawaii of all places. I loved it because the beats were Out of this World, fat & chunky, and the lyrics equalized the pressure inside my brain. I was in my mid-30s and it was a great way to get the rage out. Fantastic to see you get into it.

This is Industrial Music. An early example of the genre would be Ministry. Ministry are the creation of Al Jourgensen. Musician, Songwriter and Producer. no other individual has done more in the genre, and he has loads of great music out there. If you want to listen to an industrial album beginning to end, then i would recommend Land of Rape and Honey by Ministry. However the roots of the genre are in England with Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, both oth from Sheffield, the birthplace of Post Punk Synth and Industrial music. They took the DIY aesthetic of Kraftwerk, and crossed it with the DIY aesthetic of agit and noisy punk and created the early hybrids of industrial music.

Fun fact: Crazy Uncle Al lived with Timothy Leary, the LSD scientist man himself. Al was dosed with LSD every single day. Extra fun fact: The lead singer of the butthole surfers was living there and was also dosed daily with LSD, though he was kicked out after repeatedly urinating in the kitchen. Extra extra fun fact: His excuse was that the kitchen was very white and therefore he kept thinking it was a bathroom. The lead singers of both Ministry and Butthole Surfers we're being dosed daily with LSD while living in Timothy Leary's house. Fucking Crazy!

Very good reaction!!! Please continue being yourself!!! I would like to recommend that you react to a beautiful ballad titled: "Cloudy" (the Live version @) by the Average White Band (AWB)...It is not a video but it was recorded Live on their "Person To Person" Live Album... Hamish Stuart (from Scotland) sings the lead part with such a soulful sound that he gives you somewhat of a Marvin Gaye flavor & vibe...It's a song he wrote & dedicated it to his daughter, as he felt their relationship drifting apart and he didn't want that to happen!!!

Calm down man. Juke joint jezebel got me into the industrial/ebm scene back 17ish years ago. Without random peoples finding this and using this as a tipping point..this is what funds the fandom of rising industrial acts like 3Teeth, Youth Code, Kanga, and Author & Punisher.

This is literally the worst track off of this album. I always skip it. It just sounds like an angry woman, bitching with some random noisy beat in the background. They have countless other songs that are way more amazing. I would put this in their top 10 worst tracks. It's good for 1 listen. After that, there no point in listening again. Off of this same album, listen to Power, Apathy, Rules, Son Of A Gun, Ikons or my personal favorite, Wrath. They are all superior tracks that blow this one away. I speak as a long time fan of KMFDM. I am familiar with every album they've ever made and I like almost everything they've done. Best album...Naïve

Everyone has their own tastes. I rank this as one of the top 10 most interesting and best KMFDM songs. But I dig the combination of industrial rock with spoken word poetry. This is over the top edgy and angsty, and that's what it's trying to be. It's entertaining as an angst teenager, and it slaps as an adult with self-awareness. "Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country did to you!" That's a banger.
