Great interview. There are many who got caught up in the lock em up era in the 80's and are just now seeing the light of day. These brothers have the insight and the intellect to go back to their old communities and redirect the next generation(s) from the path of self imposed destruction. Tho he and I were once street rivals, we gained the same enlightenment thru the same struggles. Many didn't make it, but those who did are now on the same path. I commend Baboo and all the homies who are using their new found freedom to enlighten this next generation. It's not easy but it has to be done. Peace

Besides t.s. but he only talked about his book. I just find it strange that everyone in the comments through the year's have been asking for something on Hoover and nothing yet.

Greeting Kev Mac, & Baboo, Great Job on the interview, I want to take a moment to gave a shout too Baboo, I do salute you brother on Your own experience you encounter coming up in One of Two California State Prisons , as a youngster in the 80s , You was coming in when i was close to getting out in the mid 80s, Quentin and Folsom was just alike in many ways. i Stop through Folsom For a hot second on my way to Quentin, I know my experience being in the 1 Building I was only able to come out my cell to go eat and showers, and i was ask if i wanted to go over to the 5 Building since i had family over there, and at that time for every one mexican that got hit, five brother's would get hit, where the roles reversed at Quentin. I couldn't tell you about the Mainline at Quentin, because i had a undetermind Shu, but they took the weights off the yard around 84, in North & East Block. I wish you much success as you Mentor our young so they don't have to go through what we went through, We drop the ball educating your generation, lets not lose anymore. Continue to stay strong in the struggle my brother. I salute You.

KevMac, as a Christian, and a Mexican, I want to thank you for the content you put out. I grew up in South Central L.A. from the cradle (74’) to 1999 when I moved to Vegas. I grew up in 65 Menlo neighborhood on 69th & Hoover. But I also knew a few Hoovers. We were the only Mexicans at that time when we moved there in 77’. I never banged. My brother would’ve beat me down after he found out I got jumped in. He’s 8 years older and was from Florence Gang (F-13). He knew I would’ve been a Menlo hands down. It wasn’t a racial thing on his behalf. He was just looking out for me. I think these interviews are vital, because back in the 80’s & 90’s, society viewed our area, and people, as a bunch of savages who wanted to kill each other. And we all deserved to be in jail. But they didn’t know that the majority of the youth were not bad kids. It’s just the environment we all were in, and we lacked resources and mentors. Now these men, who spent most of their lives in human warehouses, can tell the truth and show those people who once judged them, that they got a bad deal. Not entirely their fault. With the erections of corporate prisons in the 80’s & 90’s, It was all because of money. Reagan’s cocaine epidemic ruined my city overnight. But Conservatives & Christians didn’t want to hear that back then. God bless you, bro. Faithful subscriber & viewer. 🙏
